Guerrilla BobOne of the big iOS titles called Guerrilla Bob from Angry Mob Games has hit the Android Market and has also been optimised for the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY. The light-hearted 3D shooter title is a simple affair that sees your soldier try to take on the world through a number of unique weapons and wonderful boss battles. What makes this game unique is the ability for those on iOS devices to play multiplayer with those using Android devices (although they have to use the same local Wi-Fi connection which is a bit of a downer).

However, in what Sony Ericsson would like to see as a sign of the future, the game has been optimised for the Xperia PLAY. This means that you will be able to utilise the twin-touchpad controls which is likely to be the best way to play the game. In fact, we are starting to see other developers doing the same. For example Polarbit recently announced that Reckless Racing and Raging Thunder 2 have been updated with “Optimized for the Xperia Play” in the changelog. Guerrilla Bob is available in the Android Market right now for $2.99. The Xperia Play version will be out in time for the handset launch. Check out a hands-on video with the Xperia PLAY below.

The play is a really nice device but i am not a gamer so it not for me, But I like the fact that there is a start in cross platform compatibility. I think its time the Android / Iphone wars calm down and developers make more compatible apps. (Although Android rules LOL)
