Sony Ericsson ST18i high-res pictures leak

We have already seen quite a bit of the upcoming Sony Ericsson ST18i, codenamed Urushi. However, what we have here is a load of high-resolution pictures across all angles. The handset is believed to launch in September and will run Android 2.3.3.

The smartphone appears to be a smaller version of the Xperia arc, running the same internal hardware (1GHz Snapdragon and Adreno 205 GPU) but with a 3.2-inch display at 854×480 resolution. It is also expected to have the same 8.1MP Exmor R camera sensor as the Xperia arc and will be capable of HD video recording. The ST18i will have a front-facing camera but will lack the HDMI output from the Xperia arc and Xperia neo. Check out a load of pictures after the jump.

stick to the high end phones, bring one out every 6 months or so take time with them, why bring out all the phones i thought you started something new with the arc and play then you do that, SE is supposed to be premium not budget android

Now that’s just pure nonsense. SE have always made phones across the board. Also, in case you have been binding yourself from the truth, the Arc and Play are not worthy of the tag high end device. The bar for that has been raised by the dual core contenders. At best, they are high end mid range devices.
I accept that they are releasing too many phones which are all basically the same idea with different faces.

Totally agree with tat, their faces are even looks similar to each others…

I realise its has being SE style of doing business, since SE 1st release the K750I and release W800 almost immediate after that by just changing the case and slightly modify the software (seriously abit) and sales the devices with a higher price tag where the hardware, function and Os are still the same…

Damnit, they really need a new dual core flagship to keep up with the competition. I don’t feel like waiting till April 2012 for the next xperia flagship… =(

Anyways, what’s the selling point of this phone? It’s size? I don’t get it.. Its interior is the same as the arc but with a different body.
