Utility allows Google Talk Video chat on Xperia PLAYOne of the big features of Android 2.3.4 is Google Talk (Gtalk) video chat. The last we heard, we may not be getting this particular update until October, but if you’re itching for this feature, then Paul O’Brien from MoDaCo has released a neat utility installer that allows you to get access right now.

This is more relevant for the Xperia PLAY than the Xperia arc (given the lack of front-facing camera), although Paul has tested it on both phones and confirms it works. Your handset will need to be rooted to run the installer and as part of the process your Google accounts will be wiped, so be prepared to set them up again on reboot.
