Xperia duo – supposed first picture leaked [Update]

That’s one huge phone… 

I not sure about holding a 4.5″ display phone to my ear when calling its a bit of a brick.

Time widget yes, it’s the same one I have on my Xperia arc.

The weather widget is either redesigned or third party however, as it doesn’t match the one I have access to.

@57af2c827b8612d193d29c3349808ee1:disqus Come to think of it Dell Streak is 5 inch. I find phones like these really weird. Its too big to be a phone but too small to be a tablet. But I do think Xperia Duo’s 4.5 inch is the largest screen a smartphone can go without looking like a tiny tablet. lol

The rubbery looking exterior kinda reminds me of the Incredible S but with 3 physical buttons… Wonder if SE will ever use capacitive buttons instead since those shiny bars tend to get easily scratched =(

I do hope this is a worthy sucessor to the arc~

this would have to have a very brilliant design to be reasonable sizewise. In my opinion 4 inches should be the max until we see edge to edge displays and not just edge to edge screens. All in all good to see a dual cored offering in the offing from SE. lets hope by the time it’s released it’s not a year behind like the x10 and the arc were.

i can honestly say i have never used the front camera on my xperia play, each to their own

people, who don’t use mainly for streams or games… and people who dont want, to have mega-phone

it is can be true because it is looks like xperia acro for japan!

Err, it has two dots at the top, one is a light sensor, the other is probably a small front camera for Google Talk Video. The front camera on my Sensation looks to be about the same size as the dot on the right side of the phone.

Horrible design….why oh why Sony try to copy that generic rounded corner design of every other i-clone manufacturer, give us our sharp angled Sonyesque edges!

and my bro works in sony ericsson technical department and the x10 will be updated to 2.3.3 by july 2 all unlocked phones

@betatesterz the arc is a good size but sony ericsson want to stand out to establish themselves im sure the design of the phone will e tested and crafted to be comfortable. SE will not make a phone with dual core souly for broswing and 3d rendering that has no benefit to attract a wide range of consumers they are making these phones to make a profit not for your persoonal specification remember

will you know what will happen, soon SAME EXACT PHONE with different shapes will come out.  differenct would be smaller but fatter, Awesome but missing a camera button, pro but you have to wait a 7 months until it come out… we know the drill SE 

I doubt so. Based on how huge the screen looks, i’m assuming it’s gonna be larger then qHD which would require more RAM thus i think minimum we can expect to see 512Mb =)

If it is dual core i dont think SE would like to run this sets on Android Gingerbread as we know isn’t actually meant for dual core but with Android Honeycomb!
