Mupen64PlusFor those looking for an alternative Nintendo64 emulator then you may want to give Mupen64Plus a try. The big advantage it has over N64oid is support for the Xperia PLAY’s touchpad and full support for its analogue controls.

The app has been running in an alpha test phase for a while now and has now moved to a Beta stage. The developer Paul Lamb says that there are still “many game compatibility issues to be worked out”, but it looks like it will evolve over time. Mupen64Plus is available on the Android Market right now for a very reasonable £0.64.

type rom for android on google and the first site will take you to a page where you can search through a list of emulated games. I used my internet on my xperia play and it automatically downloaded to the downloads section of my SD card. when you load the emulator it will have a link saying “play emulated games” which should take you to your SD card menu just look for the Downloads file and just select the game you wish to play. some emulators auto detect these files and show them instantly but otherwise its usually the method above
