Xperia S cornerWe just wanted to give you a heads-up to let you know that the Xperia S product page is now live on the Sony Ericsson website. You’ll find the full specifications, main features and a number of photos of the handset in both black and white. For those that can’t get enough of the handset we’ve also attached three Xperia S promo videos below.

What is the flagshsip Sony phone? This or the ion?

Also what phone is the LT29i Hayabusa? I thought that was the ion but the ion corresponds with LT28at.

Is the Hayabusa still in the work? Will it be the flagship phone?

I’m so confused right now. :(

I ma liking this NFC tag business.  can see on in my car swipe the tag when you get in to your car to tunr on bluetooth and connect to the handsfree. Maybe on at a place where mobiles should be put on silent like religious building or meeting rooms and swipe before you enter and phone goes quiet. NICE

Are these phones going to have a gorilla glass??

SE why oh why have you fallen into the trap of following the stupid
fashion trend of the other inferior Android manufacturers by taking a
step backwards from the 2011 Xperias by now using capacitive Android
buttons? Real tactile physical hardware buttons are superior, easier to
find in the dark or without looking and not as easy to press
accidentally (during games this is annoying).

    That transparent strip
thing would also have looked great if it also had integrated 3 physical
buttons into it (would have relegated some more of the horrible black
    bezel).

They should also have given it a better name than “S”. I’d gone with Xperia
Prism, to play on the light shining through the transparent bit.

I’ve loving the Xperia S more and more, especially the wireless sharing and tags.  I think I’m sold on this phone. :)

Good question since the arc s doesn´t seem to have any built in scratch protection…I´ve already ordered some display protection…

Is the LT29i Hayabusa even real to begain with?

  • Robert Caldecott

The Arc S comes with a factory fitted screen protector – fitted so well in fact that it can be hard to see it’s there!

I was wondering about the Hayabusa too!

Furthermore, the teaser pic Sony had released
    (http://svolze.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Xperia-Ion-Full-Teaser.jpg) has a
back nothing like the ion, or S! It’s a dead ringer for the arc s though!

To add to the intrigue, I googled LT29i Hayabusa and came across this Chinese
    page http://detail.zol.com.cn/310/309589/param.shtml
    It talks about a to-be-released phone which has a 4.55” screen and a 13MP
camera. Neither S nor ion have such specifications, and the LT29i Hayabusa IS
supposed to look very similar to the arc!

There are 2 possibilities I can think of:

    1) Sony’s teaser pic is a red herring (the
phone in there IS an arc S!) and the Chinese page contains erroneous info

    2) Sony has yet another wild card up their sleeves! :D

The best review of the S so far!

Wow! Perfect. Just that. I will buy one!!!

Well… if it´s there (the factory screen protector) and it is scratched by whatever I´ve the same result as if the original screen would have been scratched: scratches that “impair” the view on the screen and the “look” of the device. ?!

I hope the additional screen protector doesn´t impair the interaction with the arc s.
