First Xperia sola HD video sample emerges

The Sony Xperia sola has pretty average imaging qualities, armed with a 5MP camera sensor capable of 720p video recording. There’s a good chance that this is the same sensor used in the Xperia U that also has a 5MP camera. Anyway, if you’re wondering what the quality is like, check the 720p video sample below. It is only brief but shows the continuous autofocus in action and the quality seems fine for a mid-range smartphone.

Sony putting down the Pureview is absurd and shows how low they have become! They have greatly slacked ever since Nokia faced its lows. But now that Nokia unleashed the PureView behemoth all they do is whine!!!! Such a shame! But it only shows how much of a threat PureView really is not just with their mobile division but also and definitely with their P&S cameras!!

I hope this would pressure them into reviving the Cybershot line in their Mobile phones!!!!! And stop using plastic lenses and improve their noisy algorithms!!!

Agree, it was a disappointing response I read on techradar. That guy who was quoted should be fired. Looks like we’ll all have to buy Pureviews to put the heat on Sony Corp cos there doesn’t seem to be any internal pressure to come up with a SuperCyber competitor.
As for this video – compares well to the 2011 range’s capabilities, which isn’t going to excite the anyone. Some report on file sizes for photos on these NXT phones would be handy, XB – is the compression as drastic as on the Neo, for example?
