Sony Mobile has announced that the official Xperia Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich beta ROM is now available for the Xperia PLAY. Sony had released the beta ROM for three other Xperia handsets (the Xperia arc S, Xperia neo V and Xperia ray) around a month back. Sony Mobile is looking for user feedback particularly for the compatibility with games. You need to be running at least firmware version 4.0.2.A.0.42 before installing the ROM. You can find the full details here.

    What about xperia arc???

Thats for the Neo V, Arc S and the Ray. For others they had said end April or early May. So it seems like Sony is on the track. Hopefully, before the stable ROM for the Neo V and Arc S is released, beta or alpha ROMs for all the cell phones will be released. And that should be in a few days. And then, in a week or two, the ICS update for the Arc S and Neo V should be online. Good job Sony. Keep up to your promise.
