in Xperia J, Xperia T, Xperia V

We just wanted to give you a quick heads-up to let you know that the Xperia Blog Gallery, Comparison and Specification pages have been updated to include the recently announced Sony Xperia T/TX, Xperia V and Xperia J handsets. If you want to discuss these new phones we have also added categories for them in the forums.

we just need to know in which markets we get the TX and which ones the T.
i want the Tx and i have that feeling it wont be available here.

Same, I want the TX but I already see Xperia T pre-order by various providers…But I want Xperia TX !! Netherlands Btw…

  • Still missing the Xperia Tablet S :)

  • Sami

    thank you :)

Sony Hong Kong said the Hong Kong market is likely to get both Xperia T and TX (not 100% sure lol), so maybe you will be able to get the TX as well! But it would be interesting to see how will Sony differentiate the two if they release two phone will almost identical spec

Most likely different carriers in markets that have both devices…
then if people are buying them without a carrier, then I think Sony will still be happy whether you buy a T or a TX =)
So, they probably don’t really need to differentiate them. People can pick up both devices, try them out, see the differences in industrial design, materials, weight, and feeling in the hand then buy the one they want.

@xperiablog I thought on the specifications page, you would include the GX information with the TX.
There shouldn’t be many differences hardware-wise.
1.) MSM8960 SoC for the GX vs. the MSM8260A for the TX

2.) LTE bands and speeds for the GX
    LTE 75Mbsp down 25Mbps up
    3G 14Mbps down 5.7 Mbps up

    LTE2100

3.) Battery times, where available, for the GX using LTE.
Supposedly standby time: 300 hours on GSM, 380 hours on 3G, 270 hours on LTE

4.) micro USB Cable and Charger, in most markets (the GX does not come with those but the carrier sells them alongside the device in a separate box if you need it)

5.) Noting that the devices are Bluetooth 3.1 (and not 4.0 despite the SoC supporting 4.0)

What about gorilla glas 2? or do they still have the first gorilla glas?

  • XperiaBlog

Yep, we haven’t got any tablet devices on there yet. Still figuring out the best way to introduce them…

  • XperiaBlog

We should really include the Japanese devices on there, but we haven’t as we weren’t sure how many people would be interested in them. We include them in the Comparison page, but if people think there should be separate pages for them then we’ll add them in the Specifications section too.

  • dereknobuyuki

@XperiaBlog:disqus yeah, I don’t think you need to include it everywhere but just since the GX and TX seem to essentially be the same device one with LTE and one without (software aside since there is some amount of carrier integration), it would be easy to just add any GX information to the TX page

But again, that’s just LTE vs. non LTE but I still wouldn’t be suprised if the TX will be found in both LTE and non LTE variants (aside from the Japanese market) like how the T may be found in both LTE and non-LTE variants
