CyanogenMod 10 M1 build for Xperia acro S and Xperia S released

in Firmware, Xperia acro S, Xperia S

CyanogenMod has announced a new ‘M-Series’ of ROM builds that will be released on a monthly basis. The idea behind them is to make available a more stable build on a more frequent basis, sitting somewhere between the stable release and a nightly release. CyanogenMod plans to release new M-Series builds at the start of every month.

CyanogenMod says that the builds should be good enough for daily use. The program starts today with a number of devices getting the CyanogenMod 10 M1 build. Two Sony Xperia devices have been added to the list – the Xperia acro S and Xperia S, so if you have one of these handsets and want to try the latest release click here.

Thanks Rammstone!

I am considering to switch to Cyanogen sometime soon, hoping that OS will run significantly faster than original Xperia S UXP. I heard that with Cyanogen, HDMI function is compromised. Is that true? Any other functions affected as well?

  • darklight

Thanks i know, but there is no CyanogenMod 10 available.

  • Xajel

Yes, HDMI won’t work as the Cyanogen team doesn’t have the required drivers… as for other functions the camera will work but not as advance as the stock camera, some advanced features in the camera won’t be available… but I heard that this can be changed using some mods…

  • Teng How Lai

Well, guess I have to wait for the Vanilla then… :D

  • ankit

Will it affect warranty. After installing this can I come back to original Rom

  • justin

To use the ROM, you need to unlock bootloader, and unlocking bootloader breaks the warranty, so you can either have one or the other unfortunately enough. :/

  • Pradeep
