New firmware (6.1.B.0.550) released for Xperia P

Some new ICS firmware is now rolling out for the Sony Xperia P. New firmware version 6.1.B.0.550 looks like a minor upgrade over the existing firmware (6.1.B.0.544) and is a carrier customised version rather than generic. You can see a video of the firmware in action below, which shows it is VodafoneCZ firmware. There doesn’t appear to be much different, so it’s likely a bug fix release only.

Is it a global update?? or only for certain region??

  • This is insane! Show me some ICS love for the Xperia Sola! other companies like HTC have made their phones come with ICS preinstalled like the HTC one v to be fair with what comes on Xperia Sola. Damn you SONY!

    I don’t think it’s global, check here:

it still say 6.1.B.0.544. FTF Files are already on Xda-Developers if you want to update :)

Did you know? Publicated concepts become real: it was posted 22.08.2012, some changes you can see now, and more exciting you will see in the future: https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/103207945010433772457/103207945010433772457/posts

Seeing as there’s no news so far about further OS upgrade for 2011 phones, I’m a bit skeptical about any update aside from bugfix.
