Google has sent out media invites for an Android event on Monday October 29th at 10.00 (EDT) in New York. Speculation suggests that Google will showcase a new version of Android (Android 4.2?) as well as the new Nexus device (rumoured to be the LG Nexus 4).

There have been wild rumours of multiple Nexus devices for most part of this year, so we’ll also get to see if these rumours come to fruition. The event will be live-streamed on YouTube, so mark your diaries to find out what’s new in the latest and greatest version of Android.

Jelly Bean for all! JK! :P I wish Sony would reconsider 2011 Xperias.. *sighh *

  • Ash

I hope not jelly bean lags on my nexus s

  • LancerEX

really? is it terrible or manageable? :(

  • owl

Sony has advised users to consider keeping Gingerbread instead of upgrading to ICS… Jelly Bean is very unlikely. Well, call me easily satisfied, but I’m happy with 2.3.4 on my Live =D

  • Four blue buildings followed by two red. Am I reading to far into this or does that indicate 4.2?
    Hoping for a Sony Nexus!

  • george

we want Jelly Bean for Acro S and Xperia S!!

  • AnP

Keeping fingers crossed and eagerly waiting to hear and see something solid about the Sony Xperia Nexus! Holding out on purchasing a phone exclusively to see what’s in store from this event!!! :)

  • i’m gamer

    i hope xperia plat nexus

  • Brapicoco

Even we don’t be given the chance to have the Xperia Nexus at least give us a stable update :)

  • the king

it wont be as hood as an iphone? i love everything apple do, android is ok though if your on a budget!

  • AsadMulla

    New voice command

  • boosook

Might be, might be! Nice finding!

Uhm, you can get android devices as expensive as an Iphone? Jellybean is already better than IOS as it’s fast AND have more features already in ICS.

I love everything apple do too. Especially the suppression of consumer’s choices, “stupidify” their customers through popular brainwashing marketing techniques, destroying innovation, calls what was already invented their invention, and the list goes on and on and on and on…..

  • Strange

And not to forget, advertising about the brilliant iphone cameras as if they made the whole camera module.

Xperias 2011 must have Jelly Bean, the ICS version for us was just a experience and than they gave 2012 xperias a better ICS. So, to us 2011 users we receive garbage and the others a present. SONY should have given all the same ICS version but no, 2011 users are not people for them and the 2012 are. I do not have anything against 2012 xperias even because we are from the same family, the SONY family and next year, it will be the 2012 xperias suffering because there will be new phones from 2013 and they will be the new ones to receive the best. This will be allways like this.

  • Multiple devices? Here you go

    1. LG Nexus 4
    2. Nexus 7 32GB Wifi
    3. Nexus 7 3G

The 3G Nexus 7 (32GB) was recently spotted in Taiwan.

  • Good catch!

  • Obliterator

A brilliant find. Also all fours colours of the nexus logo are included in the picture.

  • Xperia Nexus! PLEEEEEAAAAASE!

  • dereknobuyuki

I’m looking forward to this… potentially new versions of the platform and potentially new nexus devices… but what I’m not looking forward to is how numerous people on the Internet will be angry and upset that their devices are not instantly, automatically, and magically upgraded to Key Lime Pie (or whatever it will be called).

At least we should stop wanting to get Jelly Bean… and aspire towards Key Lime Pie.

  • LancerEX

Agree. The latest ICS minor update has made my Ray even slower. :(

  • XpRay

Jelly Bean should run faster than ICS.
