New Xperia P firmware (6.1.1.B.0.253) certified

A new firmware version for the Sony Xperia P (LT22i) was recently certified for the handset. Firmware number 6.1.1.B.0.253, looks to be a minor update over the current version on the PTCRB website 6.1.1.B.0.249, however as that didn’t see a wide release we’ll wait to see what Sony has to offer in this version.

    There is an update on when it’s coming, I forgot where I saw it but I think it was on their forums. You can try googling it. Someone called Sony in Belgium and I think the time frame was a few weeks. Don’t quote me on that though.

    Been waiting for this update for the longest time. I always have issues writing (using the Sony keyboard) in the Chrome browser and I hope they fixed it.

    already sold my xperia p after using for a month. It had too many bugs and sony didn’t seem to release a fix soon.

    Sometimes I can’t answer calls with my xperia p.The touch screen hangs.
    Sony please fix your phone’s bugs.

    I’m in belgium and I updated to ICS with flashtool, got it on XDA forums, since it’s an official rom, I won’t have any warranty issue

    Latest 2.3 firmware is the best for the phone at the moment, it does not have any annoying bugs – but the current ICS has a lot…

    i don’t know if is only me but after i update my phone the signal is terrible comes and goes all the time i can’t even make a call because it drops every 2 minutes.
