in Xperia T

The Sony Xperia T is now available to buy in Canada through select carriers. Both Bell and Rogers have the handset live on their websites. Both have the LTE version of the Xperia T for C$99.95 on a three year contract. However, if you’re looking to buy off-contract then Rogers has it for C$524.99 and Bell has it for a slightly more expensive C$549.95. The handset will also be sold through MTS, Mobilicity and Videotron. The latter two will only carry the HSPA+ version though.

does anyone know if the hspa+ version of the xperia T be available in the US?

  • reventon

is the LTE version of the T the one with the metal back?

  • Fraulein

Yes. Called Xperia TL for AT&T.

  • Fraulein

The LTE version has HSPA+ too. I have no idea if it’s cheaper without LTE. But, as mentioned in the article, Mobilicity and Videotron will carry the HSPA-version in Canada. Maybe you could import it, or buy it on eBay.

Thanks. Do you know if the Canadian variant of the T will be metal back as well?

  • Fraulein

It looks like it from their pictures. Canadian variant is LT30a, which is essentially the HW from LT30at (TL) and SW from LT30p.

    lol 3 year contract, they kidding. That’s 3598,2 C$ for a phone.
