Sony Mobile has released a number of promotional videos to celebrate the launch of its new flagship handsets – the Xperia Z and Xperia ZL. Overall, you’ll find ten Xperia Z promo videos that we’ve linked to below and seven for the Xperia ZL. However, the videos for the ZL are the mostly the same videos as the Xperia Z but with the handset model swapped over. Both phones look absolutely great and are generating a lot of positive buzz. We’ll do a hands-on roundup soon enough, but in the meantime check out the official promo videos below.

    I want everyone, who was insisting that the Z had a camera button, to publicly apologize to me!!! :-) )
    Apart from the fun though, I think these handsets will increase massively the market share of Sony Mobile in the following months. And if they become available at least 2-3 months before the forthcoming Galaxy S4, then they will gain a respectable momentum in the market. Let’s see if the rumoured mid-ranger will follow in the same vein to build a solid lineup for 2013.

    Don’t forget the 20 entry level phones that will come out .. Let’s just hope that the Z is out soon and not after everything good about it right now becomes outdated by the time it’s finally out .. Let’s also hope that within 3 months of it being released they don’t announce the new top end phones like they did in 2012 !! .. IMO the Z is a very nice looking phone but too big, it seems lots are obsessed with carrying round bigger and bigger phones, maybe in the US seeing as they’re all obese and therefore have bigger jeans with bigger pockets it’s all good but the main gripe I have with the ZL is the cheap back as per 99% of Android phones, couple that with the awful exposed usb port as was the case with some of the 2011 phones. The ZL is FUGLY whereas the Z is the exact opposite, even if the waterproof aspect is totally overkill unless you’re a clumsy fucker who texts while they’re pissing, bathing or washing the dishes.

    color accuracy might be good, but why it is so pixelated, what the hell is happening sony. Why are all the others phone makers that uses the same sensor take much better shots than Sony phones. We already saw some sample shots from the new Oppo with th exmor RS sensor, and they look amazing

    Only thumbing it up because you said all Yanks are superfatties! I agree with xlash, surely you have to see how it feels in the hand- one of the reasons I bought the T was it felt so comfy, despite not being as ‘premium’ as some other phones.

    I wish that there were a 4.3 or 4.7 inch flagship. It seems like 5.0 is the new thing, but it’s not a pocket-friendly size. I’d love to see a “mini-Z” with a 4.3 screen.

    NOOOOOOO!!! Fuck u Sony. why did u not make the real perfect flagship phone uh? Because i love the stature of xperia ZL but very like xperia Z’s design and i love to listen my fav songs with my phone when i take a bath as well. Meanwhile, i think it will be very good if i can use my phone as a universal remote for my home entertainment center. Why these fuckin cool things can not be in one device?

    So Sony is saying that both Z and ZL have a “super bright” display but there is no mention of the WhiteMagic technology from the Xperia P in the video or the whitepaper (ironically).

    With 443ppi pixel density it looks as though Sony weren’t able to squeeze in a white subpixel into the 5″ display here. If not, then how many nits of brightness does the display put out? Can anyone confirm either spec?
