in Sony Tablet

XTZ_pic_32_wifiThe Sony Xperia Tablet Z has already been on sale in Japan for a few weeks, but this was for the NTT DoCoMo version supporting LTE and One-Seg (model number: SO-03E). Well, right on cue, the Wi-Fi SKUs are now shipping.

The 16GB Wi-Fi Xperia Tablet Z (SGP311) costs 52,800 Yen (£350, €409, $537) on the official Sony Store website. The 32GB version (SGP312) will set you back 59,800 Yen (£396, €464, $608). The tablets are available in both black and white, although the latter is only available with 32GB storage. The European launch is expected to follow in late May.

Mine arrived on Friday, a day before it officially launched and I’m quite happy with it and the dock.
Still wish there were better remote dev tools for android though.
I love that the keyboard is so customizable just like the smartphone version including themes and Swype style support.

I shot an unboxing video but it was really boring.
Ingress runs quite well on it even though tethered through Xperia link.

Should be $499/$599 as soon as it officially launched in your market. It’s great but not worth paying that much.

I dont think any tablet is imo. Im travelling in may and would love it on the trip that is the only reason i dont want to wait. And also hoping that Canada gets the Lte version too.

  • Sony always late with everything!

  • When does it come to Southeast Asia especially my country, Indonesia? I will begin my college in may, hope this tablet will come while im preparing for college. It would be a great partner in outdoor nor in a class. :3
we hate to wait so long till this best tablet comes out, come one make it faster, Sony. :)

Best comes to those who wait…

  • you mean the software issuees sony always has on all their android devices.
Sony indeed make nice stuff but its not worth it due their software issues they nearly always have……

    Ok, back to bed now!

  • Pre ordered the 32gb wifi white version! Awesome tablet! Best on market

Worth mentioning but the LTE version in the Japanese market is noticeably heavier than the wifi version (although it also supports TV, etc)
