Do you guys think dey gon drop JB for S, SL, Acro S, HD and Ion at the same time? Anyway it’s going to be much traffic when it comes out. That’s for sure.

  • Jerry Berglund

God… I know You’re guys are tired to of us XS owners. BUt god what anti-climax this news was. Cant the news like this come. ” At last: JB for Xperia S is release!” lol. God no more waiting Sony. Release that darn software.

But of course its good to see that JB is soon there for you Ion owners as well. :-)

  • Probably, or at least with only a couple of days apart. Countries and carriers may cause a wider spread depending on how “uptight” they are.

  • I have the Sony Xperia ion from AT&T… will this be a problem for me once Sony officially releases the update?

  • Mohit

Yes at&t usually get late updates sometimes, but it won’t take too long just 5 to 10 days

  • Mohit

It won’t cause much traffic, according to me, they will release update for a device for two weeks and then another device for the next weeks hence it won’t affect the servers

  • Kirito Sao

Please put a download Jelly Bean for Xperia S. Because they make us wait until the end of May.

  • utsav shah

My Ion™ is set ready to welcome a brand new life!

  • utsav shah

AT&T is not going to release JB for Ion AFAIK.

  • roobs

Hope that sony releases the JB by next week since everyone in the xperia S family has been certified.

  • Acro S …

  • Cloud_Connected

    Same here :)

  • Mac

If that’s the case then my Acro S is going to receive the update in the middle of July..
I know from when back when they released the ICS for my neo it wasn’t able to reach in almost 2-3days after release.

  • Ben-Amie Lim

    Yeah! :)

  • Arokhantos

Android 4.3 already comming out in june

  • Mac

Ay look, I was thinking of the software buttons. Is there any chance they include it in the update? I mean for all not just the Ion.

  • Lol… NO… No words about 4.3 yet. It is expected in fall!

  • Arokhantos
  • Carlo Lim

yeah, it is hard editing the comments when you are using a mobile phone. Using a PC has no problem though.

  • Carlo Lim

I may be wrong but don’t the Ion have capacitive buttons? Capacitive plus soft button would not only be a redundancy, but also sacrifice screen size. Then again I may be wrong, don’t know the Ion…

  • Mac

Yeah u right hardware buttons on all of them but Ion got 4 instead of just 3. Yeah I know but the option of have it would be nice since the hardware one’s is a bit tricky 2 use. In my opinion

  • Mac

Nice 2 hear I’m not the only one

  • Roy

Hum.. It seems a better solution would be making the capacitive button the Ion already have more reponsive..

I’ll tell you though, I’m still getting used to this new trend of soft button.. I’ve lost count of how many times i accidently pressed home on my new Z. It kind of annoys me sometimes but I know it’s just a matter of transition, I’ll get the hang eventually.

  • Mat Jeng Jeng

Doesnt matter how soon it will come, i just want to say FUCK!. U r too slow then a snails. No more SNY for me. Seem nexus will be a great choice for the android because it always be the 1st choice to get the any new version of android.

  • Mac

Actually I dunno about the capacitive buttons on the ion since I got the Acro s.
Man I feel you daw, almost 33% of the time I’m about to space in a message I’m hitting home as well. Even if it’s not a soft button.
I really liked the 2011 xperia’s real chrome buttons and when I was about 2 change from my neo I decided the Acro S over ion and even xperia v, because the lack of capacitive buttons and camera button. It was just meant 2 be a till now phone since I couldn’t find find anyone more me atm.

  • Mac

Honami Nexus? That would be sweet! Best of Sony and best of Google.

  • Emmanuel van den Brûle

Alright, so give us this update now, otherwise fuck you Sony !

  • Juan Camaney

This is why your mom told you to use your words when you were a child.
Are you asking whether Acro S has theirs certified? Yes, they did, along with Xperia S.
Are you asking whether they released the firmware for Acro S? No, they have not.
Seriously, trained chimps can communicate better than you.

  • just rumors…
if they really would release it in 3 weeks they would have talked about at I/O…
    makes no sense

  • Arokhantos

You just keep denie’ng thinking sony will catch up some day they won’t.
They’ll only gonna fall behind more.

  • Arokhantos

As i understood they did not mention but some improvements that been mentioned for 4.3 have been discussed like performance optimisations.

  • No problem, you can flash the LT28i/h firmware on your LT28at already

  • acsakvith

Really?? cool i have to try now..

  • Pulkit Anand

Is this update going to be available for the Lt28i as well? I’m having a hard time distinguishing between the LT28h and the Lt28i. I had the Lt28at firmware on my phone and when I heard that At&t will not release the update for the phone, I flashed the Lt28i firmware in order to be ready for the JB update. But now I’m again having doubts as to whether I flashed the right firmware.

  • Mat Jeng Jeng

    dont worry, it is general

  • akhill

Is jelly bean came for ion??

  • akhill

    Did u root your phone??

  • Pulkit Anand

Oh, okay. Have you gotten your update yet?

  • people

  • Mat Jeng Jeng

not yet my friend. probably in the end of this month. hopefully.

  • Mat Jeng Jeng

Perhaps this is not to be the last update for ion, because according to its spec, ion should be running 4.1 long time ago. Lets us pray ion will get the upcoming 4.3 android too.

  • Good News

  • andrew encarnacion

Not in time. Phone is buggier than ever since the last update. Disappointing phone with disappointing support. Well I guess when you have to account for the other 1000 phones Sony has to support there’s so much they can do. Stuck with this crap phone for another year….what a shame.

  • ????????

Where is the upgrade, even the S got the update!?

  • suresh
