Xperia Z T-MobileIt’s official, the Xperia Z is heading to T-Mobile USA exclusively this summer. T-Mobile says that the LTE-enabled version of the Xperia Z will be available in the “coming weeks” in both black and purple (the latter in limited quantities).

T-Mobile plans to offer the device on its Simple Choice Plan with no annual service contract plus unlimited talk, text and Web on its 4G LTE network. However, no pricing information is available for the handset just yet, although interested parties can register their interest on the Xperia Z product page.

T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network is currently available in seven metropolitan areas: Baltimore; Houston; Kansas City; Las Vegas; Phoenix; San Jose; and Washington D.C. The company expects to reach 100 million people by mid-year and 200 million nationwide by the end of the year.

T-Mobile’s vice president of product marketing, Jason Young, says that its customers “will love the Xperia Z with its big, beautiful HD screen, water-resistant design and advanced camera features. This is an outstanding combination: a premium 4G LTE smartphone with Sony’s best features coupled with T-Mobile’s unlimited data and speedy nationwide network.

Good news for T-Mobile customers. I think this is the first time I’m actually kind of jealous of a phone they carry. I am very happy with the ZL, though.

  • anirudh

i think this one comes with stock 4.2.2 as the leak from doomlord is 4.2

  • pitpot

who cares about USA? give us ZR

  • Cristi13

I don’t want to hate or anything but isn’t it too late? I mean it’s kinda the same story as last year with ion. Sony with all my respect(what is left of it) you need to hurry up with your software and phone releases.

This product is obsolete now LOL. Too bad, Sony.

  • Steve

  • Xyor

I’ve always be a user of at&t for the availability of SE/Sony device………at&t have every generation of the Xperia line but the 13 1h. I wonder if at&t will carry any Sony device anymore?

  • TechGuyChris

Cristi I agree with you. This is an exact repeat from what they did last year with the Xperia Ion. Since they seem to be repeating the same thing they did last year, people who buy the Xperia Z should expect to get the update AFTER (I said AFTER) Android 4.2.2 Key lime Pie very ,Very, VERY late, if at all…

  • asd

its a special tmobile model, its the zl radio in the z

  • Cristi13

I really hope that this year will be different but as of now sony is doing the same mistakes since the launch of X10 (3years ago). Anyway, I don’t want to start a flame war here but I know that the sony “fanboys” will come out any minute from now on, defending their beloved master and trying to silence us (we actual users that really want to see a change not just fake promises)
p.s. sorry if my english is not that good

  • mety

What about the WHITE version?????? C’monnnnnnn

  • Tech Gospel

Thanks! I wonder if the Xperia Tablet Z will get the US LTE radio as well.

  • Rob

    Ask AT&T? :)

  • Rob

The Z was released in feb. Why T-Mobile waited until now is beyond me..
