Xperia Z ‘eXistenZ Ultra’ custom ROM is a full Honami port [Video]

in Videos, Xperia Z and Xperia ZL, Xperia Z1

eXistenZ_Ultra_Camera_smallWe have seen a number of Sony Honami leaks in recent weeks. However, putting the hardware to one side, let’s go back to the software. We’ve already detailed some of the improvements expected, but if you want to get a good idea on what Honami’s software will bring then check out the video below. It shows the eXistenZ Ultra custom ROM running on the Xperia Z. The ROM wraps up all of the Honami apps leaked to date including its framework.

Obviously calling it a ‘full’ Honami port is a bit of a misnomer, given that the device hasn’t launched yet and we’re still likely to see a few surprises. In the meantime, check out the video below and hit the source link to find out how to install this ROM onto your Xperia Z device.

this UI is easily the coolest android interface ever!

  • hash

    niaboc rocks!!

  • Katrina

it has heating up issue. Heats up too fast. and some battery drain if you dont tweak it.
been using it for a few weeks now.

  • ashishxperiaromea

I still would a chosen a complete black interface like before , but graphics are great in this plus Black colour takes less battery…Only worry is will sony make the Honami Smart , Software wise? Thats something Sony has to prove to critics.

  • Sh’Dynasty808

Don’t forget the recent glue on the back panel issue, where the phone loses its waterproofing

  • Lagdroid is piece of shit!

    why so laggy?

  • tle

I bet dude never thought his video would b on a website. Anyway, I wonder if this rom would work for my ion since I’m trying to hold out until the phone drops

  • ScreenGuy

Black takes up more battery for xperia phones cause we don’t use LED/AMOLED screens. We’re still on Backlight technology.

  • gere

because it’s a UI meant for the honami with a much more powerful hardware. xperia z is hardware-wise not capable of running the UI smoothly.

i don’t like it because it logically means that the new UI consumes more power and requires a better performing hardware.

  • P9

super nice beautiful UI, sony best. :)

Wtf HTC phone strip! That’s a shame man..

  • ProWeirdo

    What happened with Sony’s Nexus?!?!?!?

  • ahomad hosin

it is not that laggy but again this is not the official release, expect much better performance with the official and the much more powerful Honami

  • Billy de Fretes

Htc phone strip? What an idi*t … Best pic already in old sony ericsson era. Does htc own AR features??

Why did the notification panel become so cluttered? It was FINE!!! Why must all phones look exactly the same and why is everyone OK with that? I actually find nothing unique or attractive about this interface..I mean you could say it’s more convenient for a few reasons, but come on, are you really worried about that 0.5 second you were wasting in 4.1.2? I mean it was convenient and speedy but also stylish, now it’s like you can access everything from everywhere and it all gets cluttered up

  • Izamanaick

    What Nexus?

  • foolish fan

Bitch please! Wake up and smell the coffee! This UI is not really cool at all … just SO-SO and quite outdated.

  • Ikhwan Huzir Bin Islakh

Would love the AR effect on video…that will be awesome

  • MilchMensch

LOL dude is running trap in the background.

  • Mac

U mean the xperia Z vanilla?

  • Tutzu

It’s not that it requires more power. It just needs optimization for this hardware.

    Thanks…..

  • gere

i’m talking about the UI as it is. obviously, optimizations can be done but since it’s direct porting to an older hardware, these optimizations were not implemented. the UI as it is is suited for the honami hardware and obviously requires more processing power that can be offered by the s800.

  • josesl16

    Probably meant phone strap…

  • ProWeirdo

Nexus from Sony = Sony’s Nexus

  • ProWeirdo

No. I mean the misterious Nexus from Sony from NTT DoCoMo’s leaks.

  • things

LED is nothing more than backlight technology. When you see something called an LED display, it means the backlight used are LEDs – it is still an LCD panel it shines through.

  • Mac

Oh maybe it’s a better word for it x). Thx man

  • Mac

Seems like I’ve missed something, but yeah we can’t get those Docomo phones anyway :-.

  • faggot

    What happened to Sony toaster?

Point is, no one said there was a Sony Nexus

  • ProWeirdo

There were leaks from NTT DoCoMo.

  • SSA

why you hating? you are truly a foolish fan boy
if you are a samsung fan boy get the fuck out of here.
EVERY company has its only idea of what they believe is right for their target market.
Sumsung touchwiz, overrated and it looks to round, something kids love playing with
Apple: IOS: Simple, needs a reamp (IOS7)
Sony: Closest to the original android experience
HTC: Similar to Sony expect they have a little bit more of their customization.

I’ve owned every flagship phone of these companies for the bast 3 years.

  • anonim

ProWeirdo you idiot there is sony nexus you morron

  • ProWeirdo

  • kam hagh
