in Tips & Tricks, Xperia Z1

Xperia Z1 Root_2The Sony Xperia Z1 is set to launch next week in Europe and prospective owners will be glad to hear that the handset has already been rooted. Users in China have been successful in rooting the Xperia Z1 (L39h) with a tool called 360-Root (an alternative tool that can be used is VRoot).

Rooting the handset appears to be quite simple and involves opening 360-Root, make sure USB-Debugging is turned on in the handset, click the green ‘Root’ button in the bottom-right corner to start rooting. Once it is finished, you will see a ‘Congratulations, rooting was successful‘ message. For root permissions click the green button in the bottom right again, then the top left ‘Root’ graphic will turn from orange to blue denoting that you are now rooted. Hopefully, we’ll see an English exploit appear soon, but in the meantime this should do the trick just fine.

  • Herman

I hope 360 Root will translate everything into English soon.
Because their rooting methods do seem to work flawlessly.

  • Herman

If you don’t know it, you don’t need it.
It really is as simple as that.

Watch how sony fuc*ked up with display on xperia z1, its not good as xperia z ultra! I am really sad, chance to be smartphone of the year 2013 is missed!

  • Akki dA Rokstar

If this what happens for Xperia Z1 via 360-Root, then what will DoomLoRD will do for it.. ;-)

  • cs098

nope even the author of that video told you that, the z1 display excels in other areas, with trilumiose and x reality, it has deeper blacks and stronger colours than slcd, without losing whites like amoled. Daylight readability is also more superior. The only weakness is viewing angles

  • Anukul

get real dude blacks are not as good as htc one/z ultra

  • cs098

Acually the z1 uses the exact screen tech as the zu, it just needs a firm ware update, just like the fimrware updates improved the z’s camera and screen.

  • Anukul

it uses triluminus yes but triluminus tech never promised better viewing angles. it still depends on the display panel and sony used a cheaper display panel in z1 with colours of triluminus so that screen looks great head on but believe me software update can’t fix viewing angles. why am I crying so much about viewing angles? coz this is a damn flagship! how could sony even do that?

  • cs098

Actually there are usually two display panels sony uses for their devices, I go to asia so i get the one with good viewing angles (but I got the butterfly s instead, mainly because of the battery, but the z1 equaled that, so now I’m sad :( )

And not everyone likes viewing angles, every heard of privacy?

  • Jafni

    I’m actually agreeing with you.
Like Z and ZU, people complaint a lot regarding the black is not deep, the white is not bright, the viewing angle is shit. But this is all due to firmware, not hardware. Sony will imporove everything like they did with both aforementioned phone.

  • Ryan

But in this review, I think the viewing angle is pretty good.

  • cs098

Yeah I’m sure if the xperia z had the current firmware during ces, the reviews would’ve been higher.

  • Alex

I starte and: “360onekeyroot only surport chinese OS”
