Xperia M_15.1.C.1.17A new firmware update is currently rolling out for the Sony Xperia M (C190X). Build version 15.1.C.1.17 fixes some of the reboot issues that plagued the handset when headphones were attached. The firmware is currently rolling out in Asia and certain parts in Europe such as Germany. We tried to look for the update on our UK SKU of the Xperia M but no update was picked up, so hopefully it will be released soon.

Xperia M_15.1.C.1.17

Thanks Colin!

Is it possible to add an option to keep GPS on? I can’t geotag a photo because GPS needs an app to stay on and if you navigate away from it the GPS gets off. Only using a tracking app that keep GPS on helps.

Is it worth to buy this phon for my girlfriend?

  • full

    I think yes..

  • kentgaga

isn’t there a toogle to turn on and off GPS on every android phones?

  • disqus_08T17DzMHr

Sure…. then she gonna love u more :-D

  • arcu de triumf

Yes it is, but that doesn’t keep alive GPS connection, it only enables the GPS feature. The connection with the satellites must be kept alive if you want to geotag a photo for example. Not just the feature GPS. Now there is only 1 app KISS GPS free which does the trick.

When Sony will update the firmware for the Sony Xperia M?

    15.1.C.1.17 version is very underdeveloped!

    Main issues:

    -bad screen calibration

-poor image quality rear-camera (no focus, blue glow)

-very poor front of webcams (blurring in the corners of the image, unnatural colors)

-phone after the last update is too low (music, phone calls)

Do not read this forum Xperia Care?

  • ss1000

After the firmware update(15.1.C.1.17) phone has become very slow.touch calibration is also bad. Please Sony give us a new update and fix all issues

How to update the new system update with computer required ?
Please tell me how to solve it . I dont know how to update my xperia M

  • rohitrox

Sony phones are bullshit. Network disconnects automatically for no reason and we don’t know our phone is out of network signal. It won’t get signal until next reboot. Phone hangs up even when calling or after receiving call. It heats up when we use 3G. Camera is poor. However only thing I liked was the music part.

  • rohitrox

I will never buy sony phones again.
