Screenshot_2013-09-25-15-28-05A small update to the Info-eye app found in the Sony Xperia Z1 is now hitting users. Version 1.1.02 doesn’t appear to offer any noticeable changes from the previous version, but it’s good to see Sony work hard to update its firmware and apps. Info-eye is a visual search app that gives you information about the places you visit and the objects around you.

Thanks Armaan and Daniel!

this looks like a cool app. will they release this for the other z-series? or izzit exclusive for z1?

  • Rene Pedroso

    Got it

  • the_black_dragon

it is just Grey/coloured in specific apps… on Homescreen they are transparent (you see the wallpaper through) and in most 3rd Party apps they are black!

    I buy Sony xperia z1.
sony xperia z2 to have 5.2 inches, according to rumors.
    This is too much.

  • Kazuo Sat?

I Agree, 5 inches is perfect for a flagship, no increase in size needed.
Don’t believe the rumors, we’re so far out from Z2 being released that any rumors now are just speculation.

Its modded for z and zl sadly alil buggy on superior auto but every other thing works good

I gotta say BYE if next flagship is bigger than 5″

  • Michael Hofmann

I would imagine they’ll get 5.2 inches into the same footprint or slightly larger, with current bezel levels.

  • Brad Williams

Read this on Facebook yesterday. Sounds cool. :)

  • xd

That’s what they said when the flagships were using 4.3…..

  • Kazuo Sat?

not me, 4.5 – 5 inches is the way to go as far as I’m concerned

Part of it is the screen, cause it can only be so big before its uncomfortable with one-handed use, but on the same hand bezels do play a big part. I do however like the edges, long side, of Xperia Z and Z1. While they could be a little thinner they are pretty good for a phone that features a 3000 mah battery and sports water-resistance. Of curse landscape is a whole other story.

I have absolutely no problem with a larger display as long as the footprint doesn’t grow. Samsung made a larger display without growing the phone.

Why does everyone depend on samsung ?

Xperia Lounge Update here on Z….. version 2.4.2

if you are talking about the rumors from esato from some random indian guys, you better not trust it. these random people were bragging with XR5 (best screen ever, best camera ever, most beautiful phone ever, new battery technology and what not)

I am not saying Z1 is bad in any ways, it’s rather good, but no where near to the XR5 rumors of these random insider guys.

  • josesl16

Because they’re the most popular phone out there, obviously?

I haven’t received any update for the info-eye app on XZ1 here in germany??
