Xperia CIt does look like that the Sony Xperia C (C2305) will be making its way to markets outside of China. We recently reported that the dual-SIM Xperia C is expected to launch in India in early October and now Sony Mobile Russia has also confirmed it will launch the handset. No release date has been given, however they confirmed pricing will be at 12,990 Russian Rubles (£252, €300, $405).

The Sony Xperia C is the first Xperia device to sport a Mediatek MTK6589 chipset (1.2 GHz quad-core processor and IMG SGX544 graphics), 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, dual SIM, 5-inch qHD display, 2330mAh battery, 8MP Exmor R camera and VGA front-facing camera. Check out a hands-on video by the Sony Mobile Russian team below.

Update: Sony Mobile Russia has confirmed that the Xperia C will launch in mid-October in all three colours (black, purple and white).

  • Weird that they state it will only be released in China and Russia, no mention of India somehow.
