T-Mobile Xperia Z owners finally get update to Android 4.2.2

in Android, Firmware, Xperia Z and Xperia ZL

Xperia Z_10.3.1.E.0.191You have to feel for Sony Xperia Z owners on T-Mobile in the US. Whereas Xperia Z owners elsewhere got hold of the Android 4.2.2 update back in June, it is only now that the update has been released on T-Mobile. New build version 10.3.1.E.0.191 will upgrade you to Android 4.2.2, including camera access from Lock screen and software stability improvements and “improves handset rebooting when dialing a call”. The update can be downloaded over the air or via a computer.

which xperia gets beyond one update ? the question here was updates. I think sony fans are right to get pissed when there are defective FW not being fixed for like a year. why diss them ? that’s why we have annoyed users swarming blogs where sony might have an eye on. I seriously think like sony has probably 2 people in their update division. they make some good hardware, and they are doing good in all departments, being friendly to root, etc. but there are definitely areas they could do better.

seems like my headphone Jack doesn’t work anymore help

I don’t know what the griping is about anymore. Since Jelly Bean, android updates haven’t mattered as much in terms of new features. Many user facing improvements have trickled down from the most current versions, in the form of app updates. It’s not like the Gingerbread and ICS days where having the latest version was very important.

I think the delay is due to Tmobile’s wifi calling feature. Since that feature is really great that I don’t mind waiting.
