Xperia T and Xperia V get new Android 4.3 build certified (9.2.A.0.295)

Xperia T_9.2.A.0.295The Sony Xperia T (LT30a, LT30p) and Xperia V (LT25i) have seen a new Android 4.3 firmware build certified by the PTCRB. Build version 9.2.A.0.295 follows on from the last certified version of 9.2.A.0.290. There is a modest jump in build number suggesting some more bug fixing from the Sony developer team.

Like with the Xperia SP, this is the third Android 4.3 firmware build that has been certified for these devices. Sony has promised that the update will start rolling by early February, so it shouldn’t be too long to wait now. There is no movement for the Xperia TX (LT29i) right now, but we’ll keep you posted.

Xperia T_9.2.A.0.295

Thanks Aadi!

  • Caio Faria

Please let it be in early February, can not stand to wait for it.

  • Gutt Grinder

I’m waiting patiently for this update. I really wish that this update will make my xperia v’s lockscreen full. If not, then I guess I’ll just to root my phone. Even though I really don’t want to..

Just be patient guys. This update will be avail eventually.. Lol

  • Chris

It’s people like you who would then complain at Sony for releasing a buggy update. There’s no pleasing you people. What would you rather have, a buggy but early update or perfect but late update?

  • Prasanth Namboothiri

My ZR working with full perfection. they said they release Sp V T updates on Dec but it gonnna be Feb now. am jus saying don’t be very late like this

  • Lukas

Sony is playing with us for sure XD
They know how to make an update a disaster and they haven’t confirmed yet XT won’t get 4.4

I see a shit storm coming haha hope Sony prepared for it

  • A O’s

The fact that they are giving us the most bug-free update makes me realize why they didnt released it sooner, like the other devices getting updates because of this laggs, thanks sony! Hats down.

Hope we xperia t tx and v get 4.4 (:

  • Guys, 4.3 update is 99% the last update for T & V, that’s why Sony polish it so hard

  • mahdi

what is the problem with TX ?!!

  • Maidul Islam Rasu

Earlyyyyyyyyyy. you call this fucking early?? I am a xperia T user and have not seen any single update for almost a year. And I am sure after all these dramas

we will be getting a buggy update with no responses afterwards from sony. Huh …

    Fuckin asshole

  • Kaarthikeyan Swaminathan

Please do do and quit this page. Sony doesnlt care about what u whine in this page :P

  • Moh@mmad Amin

I was just waiting for your answer :|

Most likely so, that this will be the last update for these phones, but please stop this crap with “polishing”, which in this case stands for “bullshitting”. They are busy with getting new customers, fuck the older ones… Lame tactics..

  • Tablet user

They don’t care about buggy updates, look at the crap 4.3 they released for the Tablet Z!

  • fatiga

Last update and 90% bug free-be happy xperia people,4.3 is ready to rock… AND ‘ROLL’ !!!

  • Caio Faria

I really want the 4.4 for Xperia T/TX/V, but I’m losing hope. :'(

  • Dmitry Perets

Riiiight, that’s why they are certifying build after build! They are just playing there… Inventing bugs that do not exist… Sure!

  • Dmitry Perets

And people here seem to dream about the same experience for the rest of the devices… Luckily Sony decided to fix its 4.3 before releasing for the rest.

  • Micro

they are not playing, they are making fun of you
Z series are the future, I really wish they make those promises only to make you suffer for spamming every single post about your delayed updates.

  • io

And just how do you know exactly how much work was done between the builds? Riiiight…

  • Chris

Then go. If you think it’s going to be buggy, then why do you still have the phone? You’re exactly the type of people I’m talking about when I say they’ll whine for anything. You’re already predispositioned to think there will be bugs, and will go actively finding some, and when you do, you’ll whine about it.

You’re getting the update in a matter of weeks. You’ve waited this long, be patient. Bad software updates aren’t a Sony specific thing, every company but Apple does this crap.

  • yuskhayru

Agree with you. Just ignore the bunch of kids..

  • Prasanth Namboothiri

Am happy with my ZR ;-)

  • littlebeetle

If the earlier few releases was buggy, why it gets certified?? Come on Sony, buck up and you can do it sooner

  • Yashoda Hemal

    Are u F****ing Kidding me Sony ?
    SONY® Can’t.believe :P
    don’t play with us

  • scw

That does not seem very encouraging….

  • Jesse Merida

Come on, the TL deserves this!

  • AA :P

agreed, apple has ONE f*ing phone and they’d better take care of it. although I’ve heard lower down people grumbling how the latest software ruined the experience and runs sluggish.

  • ravi

where is the xperia tx update ?????????

  • Gutt Grinder

If that’s the case. Then its okay, I’m an Xperia V user. I didn’t bought the phone for updates anyway, I got it for its amazing functionality.

Go Sony! You’re just only polishing things. Don’t mind these kids who always whine about late updates.. Rock on!

  • sonymac

Diito, where’s the love? Unfortunately at&t will drag their feet before they roll it out. Not holding my breath.

  • FreddyNogo

guess it cost money to certfi…

  • BillytheKid?

Wait until Feb then you’ll get your update, i mean in 2015 ;)

  • BillytheKid?

In February 2015? Of course it will ;)

  • momo

I have the same thoughts with you. Just relax and wait patiently~~

  • AA :P

for those who think T users aren’t patience this is the deal. i picked the phone thinking that the T will have 4.1 on release or within a month (as sony had promised). but it turned out to be a 4 month wait.

now, there was a 2 month wait, making the wait count to 6 months. lets forget that – technically this update actually will be their first update to the phone, and that’s coming after 1 year 4 months. simply because the phone was supposed to be launched with 4.1 and not 4. hence the impatience with most T users who bought their phones early.

also, if they mean to support their devices for 18 months – then they would have given just ONE update in their 18month period. that’s some record. the longer they delay, the lesser they have to update older phones. that seems like a nice strategy with older phones that did not belong to the Z series. in my opinion, 4.4 (which is not yet out for sony devices) is out of question for a device that’s going to be close to two years old, september 2012 (given sony’s track record).

  • Dmitry Perets

    And you…? =)

  • BillytheKid?

Well, Z1 Compact was released with 4.3, doesn’t ring a bell? Anyone?

  • Melfes Wired

  • arash

  • Angels

Sony sad that updete whill be at end of jan- early of feb. then if it’s not an lie then where is the update for sony xperia t, v, tx.

  • But sony not specificated end of jan/early of feb of what year :)

  • Ahmad Zarief

It’s February! Where’s the update? First, December. Then, January. It’s February and still no update? What’s next? March? April? Come on!

  • Angels

    Of 2014 it was

  • that was a irony, mate :)

  • In a few days Sony will annoounce that the sp,t,tx,v update will be re-scheduled for march

  • Ahmad Zarief

    Sony sucks!

  • XperiaT

I WAS patient for the update, but now i just don’t understand sony. I’m disappointed.

  • Xperia T

    never ending waiting…

  • Actman

Okie then when you said that, it means this delayed update would be perfect with no bugs and lags… We shall see about that!

  • Ahmad Zarief

But,Kitkat is all about low system requirements. Kitkat is supposed to be made available on more android devices everywhere. That’s what Google said. I really hope that these Xperias and others too including those from early 2012 to be updated to kitkat

  • Ahmad Zarief

We’ll see how true is the statement “bug-free”.

  • Ahmad Zarief

Hahaha! That’s so true. If they knew it’s gonna take a long time then they should’ve said that earlier. People are getting false hope

  • amine

  • amine

    waitt waiiiit waiiiiiitttttttttttttttt …

  • SwedishGuy

It’s now mid February and the update has still not reached us…. Maybe it’s time to switch to another brand… Or even worse, another operating system…. :O

  • Me

T user are waiting since april 2013, is it not long enough for you? Almost a year to provide an update is not enough? We didn’t ask for directly 4.3, I would have been satisfied with 4.2 in the meantime.
