Still have the .290 update via OTA but hopefully .136 when I check it on SUS later when I get home. Anyway, anyone who has an idea why PCC always says Sony Xperia smartphone instead of Sony Xperia Z1 (C6903) whenever I connect my unit?

Anybody having heating issues post latest firmware update? My z ultra got updated to the latest firmware; post update I’m having heating issue, excessive battery drain while watching videos in the movies app, and media server battery consumption is at the highest, keeping the CPU awake almost 2 hrs when the screen time is at 30 minutes only. Device freezes at times, would not wake up for a while, boots up automatically after hung up couple of times, album app force closes regularly.

I guess the update is buggy n unstable.

  • Hui Wing Tai

Updated mine this morning. Was trying to update yesterday but having connection problems.

  • Oscar Fernando

@xperiablog Can u tell about 4.4.2 kitkat update for xperia z1 ? some blogs and xda forum has mentioned it wil be released by feb 1st week.. wil they provide 4k video support in d new update ?

  • jag

    Via pcc ^^ z ultra

  • Jefferson

Well the same old issue still there.

    Check this:

    Settings->Sound->Sound Effects->Sound Enhancements->Settings-> force closed

  • SyLaR

yeah , i have the same problem with the over heating issue and the battery drain in like 3:30 hours just watching a movie plus its charging very slow , im charging right now with the mobile off and will see if i have the same problem when its finished

  • Actman

Factory reset your Xperia. Will solve the issue. But only problem I’m facing after this update were battery drainage. The rest works very fine. Especially the YELLOW TINT issue.

  • darannechelle

sound enhancement doesnt work anymore, the volume is not so great as it used to!!!

I’ve just done my Xperia z1 update with latest firmware, and when I start surfing Internet I’m having my phone heating problem. I hoped that this upgrade would fix bugs but I’m doubt on it. Does anybody have problems like this?

  • Deen Mohammad

Sony is the best in business not like idiotic samsung, everyday they introduce a new phone and forget the previous one, I received more than 10 updates since purchasing xperia z ultra.

I successfully updated this new firmware however there is something strange going on. Scrolling down/up in Facebook, twitter, etc. has some lags. I mean you cannot see it when you slowly scroll but when you scroll fast it is obvious.

  • Zhyriel ZA

What i found in the Xperia Z Ultra….the auto focus quite slow…not like xperia Z…..please fix in future update to make the auto focus more faster to focus….

  • abmonstein

This update sucks… my z1 (C6902) heats up when on a video call on hangout or skype. The display response is sluggish and I feel it uses more RAM than before. The display takes a while to come out of sleep after pressing the power button. The display remains in sleep when I take it away from my ear and wish to hangup. These are some of the bugs I noticed. It is annoying.

Very interesting thing I just come across at – I could choose any number of jewellery items (from the list) at very heavy discount rates (up to 75% off online) – more we buy more discount – I never seen this before.
