Socialife News updated to include “Feed notifications”

by XB on 3rd February 2014

in Applications

SocialifeSocialife News has been updated to the latest version ( for smartphones which includes the addition of “Feed notifications” and an updated “Start now” mode. The “Feed notifications” allows you to select feeds, notifying of new posts every day. Titles of any new articles will appear across the top of your smart phone screen without even launching the app. To set this up go to Settings > Feed Notifications.

The “Start now” mode allows you to add and remove the feeds without signing in. The update also includes performance improvements and bug fixes, however the Socialife team have said there is a heavy load on the server today , therefore Socialife News may be a little slow at this time.

Thanks @KY_F!

  • PatientSPuser

Will my SP also get updated?

  • xperiaDROID

Can you update whiners shut up for once? Really. When there’s a new article, there will be you guys whining for the freaking update. Just shut up for once, the update will come. Geez…

  • Marius

Maybe about the rss feed button in the upper right coner

  • raj

What’s the current version of your app?

  • Guest

why the hell it matter with you mind your own work :P

  • raj

As it is a Play Store app update, you will get it

  • raj

    Socialife updated
    Xperia Z Ultra in India

  • nvier

I feel like xperiablog should take a hiatus so these whiners can find some other place to flood with their complaining. Somewhere like the official Sony forums? No ones gonna listen to you complainers here, xperiablog doesn’t work for Sony you morons.

  • raj

    Version details

  • xperiaDROID

It matters me because you’re the one who’s whining here on an article that isn’t even related to Android updates. You’re wasting your time.

  • raj

    For God’s sake

  • raj

    Do you even use Socialife

  • xperiaDROID

That’s a big ass screenshot, must be the Z Ultra. :P

  • raj

    Oh Lol
    Hell, Yeah :-D

  • techielover

oh really whats makes you act like that you really don’t have to do anything with this article you got the update hurrah for you :P

  • techielover

twitter and facebook standalone apps most people prefer i guess

  • Matush

We won’t really stop ‘whining’ as you say. We paid really decent money and we want to be treated as loyal customers.

  • raj

Ok…. What’s the version of your app
    Which mobile are you using
Let me try doing my research

  • xperiaDROID

Hurrah? I got a buggy 4.3 update on my Xperia Z thanks to some Xperia Z owners for whining about update on articles and urging Sony to release the update quickly.

This is what you get for whining about updates and urging Sony to release the update quickly, you got a buggy update.

  • techielover

    really is it very buggy??

  • xperiaDROID

Yes, and I’m fixing my phone via Sony PC Companion right now.

  • johncxfg

    Apk pls

  • techielover

repairing will it work ??i think you should had just reset the phone to factory settings

  • That’s probably why they’re not releasing it yet.
They want the rom to be good for you ‘loyals’… seriously i laugh every time i see anyone writes that, as if you’re god or something
If you care much about the update, im assuming you’re a poweruser and what a normal poweruser would do by now and root it and install a custom rom or the leaked rom.
If you’re a causal user, why would you ever care about the OS version? I have a friend who’s still on 2.2 and not giving a shit about the what version it is.

  • michele massaro

I tried, even pasting the url it doesn’t work. has someone succedeed?

  • xperiaDROID

I don’t know, people in Xperia Care website said repairing your phone via PC Companion or Sony Update Service will work.

  • xperiaDROID

Tech lovers do care about OS versions.

  • Then solve the problem by rooting and then install whatever? If a tech lover bought an Android phone, the person probably know what he’s getting into

  • xperiaDROID

I’m a tech lover and I don’t know how to root a phone and I don’t want to root my phone cuz it will void the warranty. I prefer to let my phone be original, not rooted with custom rom.

And if people want fast Android updates, get a Nexus.

  • Ali Alkhazal

Guys I have a question, I tried signing in with my facebook account but it tells me sign in with SEN and delete facebook account and try again I went to SEN website but I could not find a way to delete my FB from there. anybody knows?

  • Even the fast update are buggy on the Nexus. I had to have mine reset the OS twice. Stock Google android doesn’t works for me, Paranoid Android works for me on Nexus 4. Z is on original rom but rooted and BL unlocked so i can pretty much do anything with it.

  • techielover

outdated why when you have the option to stay atleast updated…

  • techielover

    thumbs up !!

  • Because she only wants to use the phone. I’ve asked he why doesn’t she wants to update it, she said what’s the point. It would still calls the same, sms the same, take the same picture.

  • raj

    I’m sorry, but I’m not a techie :-(

  • techielover

    good luck with that lol

  • Quark Gluon

I can’t even refresh the feed from this website. Maybe it has something to do with the server overload.

  • And now i can have it on my Xperia S? :o

  • XZ

just copied the feed url and it worked for me:

  • sangprabv

Since widget update interval is re introduced the auto refresh bug is re exist

  • Anonymous

Anyone has the apk for Socialife for other android devices please?

  • Quark Gluon

“Socialife is temporarily unavailable due to server maintenance. Try again later.”

Looks like I have to wait.

  • dude
