The North American LTE version of the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra, model number D5306, has passed through the FCC. This could signal that it may launch in North America at a similar time to Asia & Europe. The D5306 is the single-sim variant of the handset, although a dual-SIM variant (HSPA+ only) will also be sold. Up until now, we have not seen either model hit pre-order.
The Xperia T2 Ultra was announced alongside with the Xperia E1 back in January, with a Q1 release date. The Xperia E1 is widely available for pre-order, therefore it has surprised us that the Xperia T2 Ultra is unlisted by most retailers right now. We’ll let you know as soon as pre-orders go live.
