    i want sony xperia z2

  • Nishanth

Team, I guess its Snapdeal not Snapchat

  • Abhishek

When the price of the Z1 itself is 36000,how can the Z1 compact be priced at 36990?

  • Nishanth

Thats a MRP price. In ManiacStore it is available for 31400 Rs only . And wait for week or two price will decrease gradually.

  • Prasanth Namboothiri

    Over priced compared to Z1.

  • XperiaBlog

    Lol, thanks – updated! :)

  • ryq24

Too expensive!!! Sony just miss a chance to have a best seller phone .

  • Legolas

What are you thinking Sony..are you selling Gold?

  • abhi098

fail. Sony z1 is 33000. Wjoever buys this is an idiot.

  • Abhijeet Mishra

This is actually a good price for a new phone that packs that hardware. Z1 is 33-36k now but it wasn’t so earlier, and Z1 Compact price will no doubt fall in the coming weeks. Compared to Samsung, who priced the Note 3 Neo at 40k, and HTC, who actually priced One mini at 37k, Z1 Compact is actually priced well for the initial launch,.

  • Praveen K

If you guys really care about pricing, then wait for 2-3 weeks. By that time you may also get more choices on accessories. Already Maniac Store is selling it around 32000 with Flip cover. Nexus 5 is praised at 33000. Phone is just launched and everyone wants to sell it on MRP. That’s not surprising. But it is little awkward that Z1 compact with plastic back, smaller screen and smaller battery is costlier than Z1 and comes without the portable charger.

  • Mac

How can u guys think this is expensive!?
In Sweden u get the z1 compact for 4590 SEK which is like INR 44000.
And I still think it’s cheap. The Z1 is pretty close. And I would say that xperia sirious will be around 5500-6000 SEK and in INR 52000-57000. That’s expensive IMO.

  • Praveen K

Plz dont compare ours with European prices. Those people has to 30% – 40 % as tax. For eg. In UK, the phone costs around 330 pounds and tax is about 70 pounds.

  • sisore

Don’t think that everyone fond of big screen

  • Mac

Okay so what u are saying is that all things u buy is much cheaper because u don’t have to pay tax? I’m confused

  • fahad

In Pakistan, Z1 Conpact 57,500 and Z1 at 61,000 rupees

  • Praveen K

    1 PKR = .60 INR

Stop comparing based on different the currencies.

  • Z1ZLIndia

Rather purchase a Z1 with all offers and accessories in just 36k ;)

  • Z1ZLIndia

Come to India to buy handsets :D

  • Abhijeet Mishra

That’s a moot argument. The Z1 Compact is aiming for those that want a small screen but flagship specs (not that the extra bezels allow the phone to be as small as one would a 4.3-inch device to be), so saying people should just buy the Z1 because it’s the same price (and has awesome free accessories) is, like I said, not a very useful argument. :)

  • Z1ZLIndia

You didn’t suggest to purchase Z1, I just added my suggestion:P

  • Abhijeet Mishra

Of course, since no other phone can be suggested when talking about something like the Z1 Compact, since it’s one-of-a-kind at the moment. :P

  • Praveen K

Guys, any idea about the Model No. ?? Does it support 4G ?

  • Mac

Yea right, I’ll probably need to pay tax 2 get it back home anyway.

  • fuckin’adult

    definitely not worth it

  • saif

Price is equivalent to average software engineer’s salary of month :p

  • Prateek Bhanushali

In sweden wht you get is LTE enabled phone…. here it is HSPA+ model which makes it to the market with cheaper price tag. Here Z1 is around 38k but you can get it at 35k online with best deals. With respect to that the Compact is little costlier.

P.s I think Sony wants to showcase this piece as a premium product,so this strategy but the price vl get down with the time. (I am guessing) :P

  • Mac

Oh u don’t have LTE at all? That makes sense I guess.

I do believe it is a premium device as well and Sony make it right by doing it that way. Yea the price will drop like every other device after a while.

  • Z1ZLIndia

Solution – Ask your Indian friend to send it via airmail as gift ;)

  • t

Here in Hyrule I can buy it for just 10000 rupees :)

  • Bunny

I hope they launch the LTE version in Malaysia.

  • Swaroop

Well.. In ManiacStore it is available for Rs 31490 Which is a reasonable price…. I’m happy that its cheaper than Nexus 5 which is Rs 33000 for 16 gb…

  • josesl16

Haha, that’s exactly why it’s pricier — It’s smaller so compressing in all the components gets even costlier :0

  • Mac

Haha, the toll will most likely check it anyway. N if it is only HSPA+ then it’s not worth it.
But wait, I have the phone already and I bought it here cuz I had been waiting for it since first rumor. And I didn’t even think it was expensive.

  • Sahil

is it compatible with 4G services in India what airtel is providing?

  • Divya Bharathi

Very interesting thing I just come across at MyDeals247.com – I could choose any number of pants and shirts (from the list) at very heavy discount rates (up to 75% off online) – more we buy more discount – I never seen this before.
