    Too costly…
    Z2 itself available for 37k
    Z3 compact for 44k???

  • oops, can’t sony just give the z3 for least profit that would give them a huge ground in an emerging market like india they can make some sacrifice ,then they could get profits on z4

  • Abhishek Kumar

Z3 compact import price is 18650 so it should not have been priced above 38k. Overpriced
Z3 was priced right but z2 price drop will hurt it big time.

Poor pricing strategy, considering India where Sony Xperia has good business opportunity. Sony mobile is missing the plot India to turn into profit.

  • Prasanth Namboothiri

Dont rush price will reduce in a month

  • SK

Looks like Sony doesn’t want to sell its fones in India. I was one of those waiting for the pricing and looks like I can skip this for good. 45K for the compact is too lousy. I can wait for another 3 months and sony will let us know the actual pricing of these beasts

  • Coolkid

Z3 compact should’ve been around 35K to be competitive… Chinese manufacturers have started ruling Indian market with that kinda pricing… Why can’t Sony do that…!!!??? Ughhhhhh

  • amir

is z3 compact’s frame is aluminium or it’s plastic?

  • the_black_dragon

    its plastic

  • Prateek Bhanushali

Prices are high becoz of its 4G capabilities…. And sure Z3 vl be around 45k within a Month !!!!

  • Vignesh Raja

Nope, I will just go with Xperia Z2 (Rs.39990).

  • Stanley08

    45K for a Compact device?!

  • Kaostheory

What’s the Z3 tablet made from?

  • the_black_dragon

It’s not crappy midrange stuff like Samsung does… it is a compact HIGH-END Smartphone!

  • ryq24

Sony should always price their premium phone cheaper than Samsung and lg. They may make great looking phone but no one will notice if they are price very high.

  • Honey Singh

Nothing to do here. Too Damn expensive! You can get a 5s for 33k! :(

  • amir

why?why?why? why are you did that sony?!what’s the problem with metal frame?

  • Rifqi Al Fariz

  • Rifqi Al Fariz

Agree. It’s hig end smartphone with smaller size.
    Not mid ranger.

  • Kiran Pasupuleti

Does this also mean Sony is not going to release Z3 tablets in markets where there is less demand for high end tablets?
    Not complaining, but just wondering…

huge disappointment even thought i was expecting high price but not more than 38.000 this is too much for compact if you compare with z1 compact there is no such a big upgrade in hardware for z3 compact except new g lens
i was excited for this phone so much but now all my excitement gone.
i was about to buy z1 compact but when i heard z3c comming i decided to wait but now i felt i should have bought z1c.

  • sONy

Z3c has much better battery life..better ips display..better software&support ..better speaker..better camera…super slim bezel & thiner body ..if u buy z1 compact u did the wrong choice

  • the_black_dragon

More Weight and less room inside.
Plycarbonate is more flexible than Aluminum so if you bend it it will go back to it’s normal form…
If they use Aluminum it has to be thicker so there would be less room inside for electronics and battery…
that’s why there is a bigger screen and bigger Battery than Z1c with the same size of the device.

10000 more for just better i want to buy this as soon as available in market but now i have to wait for sometime anyway i already made-up my mind im going to buy this only thats why i kept my name as z3 compact :D

  • michs

    Very expensive

  • farlaks

Wel its priced equal to XZ2.. Nt worth it

  • nick

Ridiculous pricing. Soon Sony will have to sell off their Xperia business if they price their premium phones extra premium cost and ignore their mid range devices.

  • Abrar Ahmed

Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact is now listed on flipkart for rs 49,990 and 42,990. Did they already reduced the price?

now this is weird on prize for z3 and z3c showing 49990 & 42990 respectively and showing out of stock lol

What the? Why would a compact device be bad?
In the laptop world a 13″ is more expensive than a 17″ ..!!

  • Sachin

Insanely high priced for a price sensitive market like India..Wake up Sony …

  • Wolfmachien

52K for a z3? fuck you SONY. I got my arc for 28k and z1 for 41k when they were launched. just when I think the prices can’t get any higher, they keep getting higher. If the prices keep getting higher, then I am going to stop using sony devices. just cause the z2 is still priced at 40k doesn’t mean you have to one up it with your z3 pricing. once again FUCK YOU SONY (India?).

  • Wolfmachien

52k quote for the z3 was the MRP not the sale price of the device while the price mentioned in the import logs is 24,587 as per to which the marketing, logistic, dealer margin, store margin, service personel training and maintainance is added with a profit margin that makes up the final price of the phone.

  • John

In fact not even 10000. There is a difference of almost 15000 between Z1c prices available on flipkart etc. at 29-30K and this new 45000 price for Z3C.

  • sid

Dude!! Atleast Sony should consider competition in this case. Moto X 2nd gen priced at 32k for 16 gb version. It has no quality to go above 40k.

  • vigneshprince

too much pricing!! xz3 compact should have been in the 38k ranges

wow 4g capabilities :O what does an lte modem for a mobile processor that already has it cost? nothing and compared to the non LTE version (eg. 8274 3gb and 8974 lte) the lte version costs how much more? 1$? 2$? and that completely justifies the fucking idiotic pricing strategy that sony has got doesn’t it? lets just make a device which is completely identical to the previous one except for, i don’t know better software optimization with an increase in model number and a WOW LTE modem!! what a fucking good way to rob people of their money. Spend a dollar more and charge the consumer hundred for the NEW technology. FUCKING AWESOME why doesn’t sony just outright copy apple? that’d be amazing.

  • Afzal Zainal Rddz

Z3 already available in malaysia for only RM2200 :-)

Pooor pricing, someone from apple did join Sony recently :). Sad end to a good phone. Time to think of Z4 directly.

  • Malik Shahid Farooq aWaN

I think we are all want new phones for free. If any one have any problem with price then please buy cheap Samsung or lg

  • Prateek Kathal

Seriously man!!! A fuckin 43k for Z3 Compact? 35-38k was OK, but this!!! Sony. Go fuck yourself!!! I was so desperately looking forward to buy the phone, but now I dont know what to buy!!! My Xperia S lags so much!! and there is no way in hell my dad will allow me to a buy a phone worth this much. Looks like I’ll have to go for Moto X(2nd Gen). Sony’s got it all wrong, especially when it comes to pricing phones!! Fuckin Z1 Compact is still costly. I bet Nexus 5 is much better than this!!(Except Camera)

  • Chuck007

I will buy the Xperia Z3 tomorrow but still… kinda disappointed Sony decided to stick to 16GB of internal storage for their flagship when the Note 4 gets 32GB. Here’s hoping the Z4 comes with at least 32GB.

  • sid2209

Exactly man. This sums it up.

  • sid2209

They’ve clearly rushed it & haven’t thought it through. If they don’t bring the prices to reasonable levels at least by Diwali by which time people would want to buy it, then they are doomed as after that people will start losing interest & go for other obvious cheaper alternatives. Besides, their 6 month upgrade policy isn’t helping them either. I wonder what will it be like when veeery soon Note 4 with 4k DISPLAY, Snapdragon 805 with 2.7Ghz Quad & adreno 420 comes out? How do they plan on increasing from 10% to 40% with this strategy?

  • ronish

true was expecting it to be for 40 il just stick to my xperiaa z

  • Abrar Ahmed

Pre order option is now available on flipkart. I am thinking of pre ordering the z3 compact for rs 42,990. But then again, at price 39,990 I can buy the z2 with 1080p display. Still confused, whether to buy now or wait!

  • swissguy

    To swiss people:
Digitec has the compact already on stocks and sell it already: 549.- CHF (445.- €, 355.- £)
It’s not that expensive, some shops even have lower prices like Brack, Microspot…

  • Prateek Kathal

I was thinking of the same. Better Screen Size,Resolution and RAM.Infact Battery life is also better. Main difference is 4G(not gonna be used as much) and 0.2GHz clock speed in processor(which wont matter that much). So, Z2 is up for me :)

  • Prateek Kathal

Z4? Kidding me? I am pretty sure they are gonna price Z4 between 55-60k INR. Sony’s gone crazy!

  • ind.ponz

apo me huththuge puthaala price eka gena kiyawa kiyawa andana heti dekkama duka hithenawa
huththane, gannawanam ganin, gaana wedinam wena ekak ganin methana andanne nethuwa…

  • Abrar Ahmed

Guys! Z3 compact is now available to buy in infibeam, says “in stock”. Just checked now!
