in Xperia - Japan Models, Xperia Z3 series

pic01_bSony Mobile recently announced launch details for the new Xperia Z3 series in Japan. As well as support from carriers NTT DoCoMo and au by KDDI, Sony has managed to get support from SoftBank Mobile for the first time when it comes to an Xperia device. This is great news and shows that Sony has been working hard to get broader carrier support across various regions.

The Xperia Z3 will be available across all three carriers mentioned above and will sport 32GB of internal storage over the international models. The handset will also be available in all four colours (Black, White, Copper and Silver Green). The Xperia Z3 Compact will be available from DoCoMo only and will come with the same 16GB internal storage as seen in the international model. Once again it will be available in four colours (Black, White, Green and Orange). The devices will start shipping from mid-October, depending on carrier.

Sony has also announced that it will be selling the Wi-Fi edition of the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact from early November. The tablet will be available in both 16GB and 32GB capacities in black and white colours. See all details below.

    Dudeeeee I want the 32gb version :<

I still cant decide…. Z3 or Z3 compact (im only gonna use it for 1 year and 2 months)

  • it’s time to envy the 32gb version :( why not make it standard even for global release :(

  • Rifqi Al Fariz

    OMG OMG OMG OMG
Come to my country, o the great 32gb!
Swear to my loyality for you,
    Treating you with kindness.

    O the great 32gb!

    OMG OMG OMG OMG

  • hogehoge

    JPN version is always 32GB.

    why why why?

  • m sacha

why offer 32gb to japan and not the rest of the world?

  • mountain

People remember, before you are to get a Japanese version of Z3, you will also get a locked bootloader. Also, Japanese phones will not be updated as frequently. It is very likely that you will be stuck on 4.4.4 for a very long time, and even possilbe that you will not get the Android L update. Even if you get custom rom support, because of a different baserom, you will get only 16GB internal storage. So think twice before you get one.

  • Naos

Why xperia z3 compact only from one carrier? I don’t get it

  • Amir

they need to make 32gb as standard for all high end devices and ditch 16 gb already! let’s hope it will finally happen with next years high end devices.

  • au

    Xperia Z3 401SO, for SoftBank.

  • au

Depends on the carrier whether they wanna release it or not. NTT docomo does, while au and SoftBank only release its big brother Xperia Z3.

  • au

Hey, Japan is Sony’s motherland. They deserve to get the better one.

  • webusermy

Sony, you want to make money?

Just come out with a 64GB version and I’ll be throwing my money at your face for it. Seriously, like do it now.

  • luqman_98

IMO, you must get the Z3 Compact because the performance is better than the Z3 (due to the screen resolution of the Z3 Compact is lower than Z3).

  • John Zakaria

Why is Sony always be behind the competition by one step ?!

  • Prophet

Calm down guys! We will get the 32GB variant when other OEMs start providing 64GB as the norm. But come on, why would anyone need such a huge storage space anyways??

  • Kabuto Kouji

Hey why are u guys surprised?? Remember my words “JAPAN ALWAYS GETS THE BEST SHIT”

  • thumble

Hey Xperia Blog net theire is new firmware on the way for z3 with buildnummber 23.0.A.2.195 is just minior update mainly bug fixes europe some users in the uk have got it for moore information go to that webbside gizmo bolt com

  • thumble

I have to correct my selv the new buildnummber is 23.0.A.2.105

  • Bur

But will I have the same fun with movies and games etc? But if I buy Z3 compact I can afford a ps4 controller hmmm

  • lol

    for recording 4k video?
    for install android games?

  • lol

and we got the worst shit, that why i stop buying SONY

  • Propet

    1) We’ve got external storage for that
    2) The developers need to program them right! Content on external storage, Source code internal.

  • Alter

Nope, 256 GB. OOT but my 64GB barely hold my vita games collection.

  • Franciscus Michael Panggabean

Because Japanese phone carriers installed millions of useless bloatware in it.

  • luqman_98

Yup and better battery battery life than Z3.

  • Make it. Happen

aww…. it would be better if you buy SONY, and rebuild their mobile division or maybe be the entire division in SONY, after all your statements conclude that you’re as wealthy as Bill Gates

  • jj

    Very true!

  • Marco Sobrevilla

Prices, in Mexican pesos, and Release dates were made public for Mexico by Sony Mobile MX. Nice! Tech usually comes late to Mexico so that gives a lot of hope that it won’t be released long after Oct.9’s announcement in the U.S.

  • SkyWalker

I hate this stupid double standard from Sony!

clearly that Sony can’t win Apple or even Samsung, HTC and LG!

    //buy iPhone 6 Plus 128 GB

  • Alfie De Castro

Mother land has the best package:) against Global version.. waiting for XZ4 this March 2015 NTT docomo or AU

  • John Doe

US also gets 32GB on their carrier branded Z3(T-Mobile). Other US carriers, if they carry it, will also have 32GB as not to lose to their T-Mobile counterpart.

  • yeah right, iSheep.. go ahead and buy that overpriced iCrap..

  • DStyle

    So?what’s the difference between au´s Xperia Z3 (SOL26) model and DoComo’s Xperia Z3 (SO-01G) model?

  • justin

Damn i badly want the silver green but tmobile only have black :(((
