If the new nexus had been waterproof maybe. I truly don’t need this though. I hardly use my tablet as it is.. Just seems cool to have… Haha

@Love My last pay <-check was $9500 working 12 hours a week online. My neighbour's sister has been averaging 15k for months now and she works about 20 hours a week. I can't believe how easy it was once I tried it out..

We needed a better phablet (z ultra upgrade) but they they made a smaller tablet. This is disgusting. Tablet can never replace my laptop. I don’t really see any necessity of tablet. A phablet is good enough for me.

For you, maybe there isn’t any use. But here in Malaysia, a mini tablet is liked by everyone, not many owns a full size tab, I just hope Sony releases this in Malaysia soon to take advantage of the market

    hope this is true

I never felt like my device was outdated because a new one came out BUT alot of ppl did

Disgusting? Are you for real? I guess Sony and everyone else should only make what YOU want, right? This is exactly what I have been wanting, so go away. I don’t want a phone that doesn’t fit in my pocket. A tablet, even at this size and my phone need to be different units because they are going to be used differently.

This is one awesome tablet. The only problem is Sonys crazy logic when it comes to pricing. I don’t understand how a compact tablet cost as much as a full sized tablet such as the Z2. Unless this is reasonably priced then I’ll look elsewhere.

  • Steven Khoo Skkl

That’s actually what I wanna say,Malaysians like to use a pallet to a tablet mini sized device.I just mean that the only small phone market here is iPhone. Other than that,I mostly see people carrying no less than 5 inch screen..Read MOSTLY.. I also don’t see many people carrying 10′ tablets due to their size unless they carry a bag around. But I’ve definitely seen man and ladies carrying ipad mini and 7-8 ‘ tabs around in their hand..So,I’m right to say that. The market for a large phablet is small, but a small tablet is big. I myself is thinking of getting a Z3 and Z ultra

my point is… all the things you can do in a tab, you can do it in your phablet too. why do we need to use a tab?
    – watching movie is not comfortable
    – you can’t do heavy tasks like u can do it in your desktop/laptop
    – battery life is similar to a smartphone
    – not easy to carry
    – more damage risks than a phone/laptop
    – no hardware keyboard
    – not easy to hold it for a long time

  • goldenblls

I want I want. I’ll be getting one next month.

  • jonyah

Because a phablet doesn’t fit into my pocket. I still use my phone to make calls. Holding a phablet isn’t comfortable, not to mention you look like an idiot. A tablet and a phone are used differently by most people. Maybe not you, but by most. I don’t think you get it at all. I don’t want a phone I can barely hold onto with one hand.

  • jonyah

Why the nexus if not this? I don’t get it. What’s so different between the two?

  • jonyah

It takes more engineering to fit the same internals into a smaller shell. Just look at their old Z series of notebooks. Those things were incredibly engineered. What they fit into a < 3lb notebook was amazing, and the price matched it.

  • JMonkeYJ

I think it made sense for Sony to release phones every 6 months because they were so far behind their competitors in many ways. It allowed them to iterate quickly and catch up. Now that they seem to have caught up pretty well, it would make sense to increase the iteration time and make each model special. If they did something like new Z in the spring and new Z Compact in the fall, that would be pretty nice.

  • Wolf0491

Just interested in that processer they chose for nexus mainly. Looks nice. And isn’t it $100 cheaper lol
