SmartBand Talk app_9Sony has published the SmartBand Talk SWR30 application in the Google Play Store ahead of its imminent launch. The app allows you to choose how you want it to interact with your phone i.e. you can choose exactly which notifications (Email, Calendar etc) to show and whether you want to use it to answer calls.

The settings menu gives you a number of options including the text orientation of the curved E Ink display. There is also the ability to add dedicated apps, of which Sony is promising more support soon. To get the most out of the SmartBand Talk, you should also download and install Lifelog, which was recently updated to support the accessory.

The SmartBand Talk has a 1.4-inch (296 x 128) curved E Ink display, an IP68 rating for dust/water resistance and a built-in microphone and loudspeaker for voice control and call handling. The band also includes a built-in accelerometer, altimeter sensor technology, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 70mA battery good for three days of battery life.
