  • the_black_dragon

they are aware of that login problem and working on it. compatibility issue at their servers. they just fixed the same problem with keyboard sync login

  • Felipe Pimenta

Only here that the video is on 240p, tops, btw?

  • Lukáš Pávl

I’m so excited to see some sneak peaks. And i’m also wondering how will SONY change the UI.

  • hotnikkelz

Yeah they really really really need to get with the program, I love the features but the UI on some stuff needs some help. Walkman and Movies app are fine UI wise though

  • Guest

Yeh, right, the KK 4.4.4 is not yet land on, z2

  • Wolf0491

    You’ll be ok

  • Connstantine

It will, in the beginning of november.

  • gibbut

Im still running ics on my Z, 2 days battery life. Was half a day with jellybean. I hope this new os is better?

  • Willian Quah

why Sony always behind on people
please make it on the end of the year la

  • Haldi

Early 2015 translated from Sony to English means end of March begin of April ?

  • Haldi

Tonight or tomorrow are rumoured. Sources are already out.

  • Shebo313

I really want to see how Sony will change the look of the UI to match the new Material Design look .. It would be very interesting to see how they manage to do that while maintaining their iconic Xperia UI look (waves, flow, futuristic)

  • Lukáš Pávl

Probably true because “Early 2015” is only for Z3 Series… But i hope that i’m wrong.

  • Ado Kanashii

really?? bro where did you read that? i thought it was because of my unlocked bootloader man! so i was starting thinking i fu$%#% it up when i lost my DRM keys…

  • Sal3m

really? my ZR already has 4.4.4

  • Me too. I really, really like the Xperia UI. I think that it’s *SO* much better than anything the competition has to offer.

  • Exodite

Personally I rather hope that they don’t, as there’s really nothing I like about Material Design – and plenty I dislike.

  • Ali Alkhazal

I have bootloader unlocked. It is because the root. If you use SU go to setting and then select cleaning uninstall it will fix the problen =]

  • Nawi

    ICS on Xpera Z?

  • aligamz

“…Android 5.0 Lollipop will be available on select Sony Xperia Z devices…”
Sony promised Android 5.0. for the entire Z family, not just select ones. I hope they deliver…

  • Rifqi Al Fariz

ICS on your xperia Z?? Okay..

  • Ninjas

No Trick All Treat. I smell ‘threat’, it started to appear now. Remember how XSP.

  • Ninjas

Well, they are among the first to announce remember. Deliver? not sure..

  • Ethan ‘blaze’ Parker

January February is for Z3 and Z2 series, then the rest.

  • Ethan ‘blaze’ Parker

Behind? Who’s delivering ahead of them?

  • Ethan ‘blaze’ Parker

    ICS on Z? WTF?!

ICS never came on Z o.O How?

  • DatThumbnail

  • Bubble

Fuck you sony, no worder why ppl don’t buy much their products, this lame company is dying slowly everday

Eat this $uckny, at least Shamesung’s ugly S5 and Note 4 will get lollipop in early december 2014!

  • Nawi

    And then says “early”
    refers to Z3, Z3C, Z3C Tablet, Z2, Z2 Tablet ;)
All the rest (Z1, Z1C, Z, ZL, ZR) It will not be “early”

  • Steven Khoo Skkl

Err…Okay..Point, remember How Samsung delivered a truly buggy 4.3 last year and I don’t know about HTC, but According to a friend of mine, it has some bugs on their sense 5…it scrolling had micro they had to release a 5.1 or something like that soon..Sony’s 4.3 on my XZ was flawless and no lags at all.even a better battery life..So..hands down,I trust Sony with their early 2015 rather then them bringing a half baked one at end of 2014.. As much as I like ART on my Z, not that I care,my Z will bey secondary phone by then..

  • Ado Kanashii

    Im not root man

  • WTF?

*Select Z* devices, didn’t they just say that It’ll come to *All Z* devices?

  • duki

1000000 people want to give thia update to sny xperia m2 because he is very good mobile

  • varinder

    Please change quick settings style

  • roeshak

Not bothered about android L right now. That’s still many months away. Going by Sony’s history, it won’t roll out until early March at best after the z4 goes on sale. Can’t look that far into the future!
Please Sony just flipping release the 4.4.4 update for the z2. It’s dragged on now for too long. The focusing bug just annoys the hell out of me. The camera is just too inconsistent producing too many blurry photos. Says a lot about the company doesn’t it. Very happy leaving a relatively new flashship premium device with such a bug while they focus on selling newer phones.
To be honest, I’m starting to wish they just updated the z2 like they did the z,z1,z1c, and zultra without any of the features launched with z3 series. Most of the features are non essential. Mostly gimmicks, some of which are nice to have but I don’t see myself using them much. You could even call a few of them bloatware dare I say it!
Let’s face it, that’s why we’ve been kept waiting so they can sell as many z3’s as possible at a premium price because once the update his the z2, the price of the z3 will drop like a lead balloon!
We’ve literally had to live with this focusing bug for 7 months. Insane!!!!
Is it any wonder that although they have devices like the z1,z1c, and z2 on the market, they only managed to sell 10 million units in three months globally. A company that shows such disregarded for its customers deserves nothing less than to be disregarded itself. IDIOTS!

  • Hope It Happens.

Better late than nothing, so what if your shamesung gets it faster, even we the first generation Xperia Z users are happy because we get lollipop considering that Xperia Z is almost 2 years ago released

  • P9

for many reasons Sony late’s update’s always better than those just-correct-build-number’s Samsuck with almost no change,,

  • Lukáš Pávl

And price for that? Slow and unfinished UI… Better wait till early 2015 than have this…

  • Willian Quah

    as others manufacture
    you can see

  • Willian Quah

I mean Sony quite late to having lollipop on Z series
while others might get around end of the year

  • Cyanogenmod

Calm the f*ck down guys. hes probably using some custom rom

  • Mahesh

then its time for you to say good bye to Android

  • Exodite

Luckily for me I’m not forced to act on the opinions of random people on the Internet.

  • Mahesh

n what you get new in this update O.o
    oh wait let me check
    Android version number changed
added more random color in the already fugly interface
    BAM !
Samsung : here u go with our latest Android 5.0 Lollipop update

and still Samshits fan-boys will boast that they got the updates first than any other OEM

god bye sony for … every day .. always .. bad supporter (sony)

  • the_black_dragon

Friend of me had the same Problem. All Stock Xperia Z3 Compact. He contacted support because he was not able to login at sony unlimited service at all so he couldn’t sync hey keyboard database. They said they had a lot of users with that problem and they are already on it to fix that on server side. Just wait a while. It should work again after a few days i hope.

  • Ado Kanashii

Thanx dude, im gonna wait man i was just about to do a factory reset!!! Strange thing is that on my sp i can log in normally…

  • Pokndir Pok

have you seen update from other brand, my experience fast update but not as good sony. Late fix bug update too.

  • Pokndir Pok

Agree, Sony good when come update experience than other, perhaps their camera app need lot of work.

  • Pokndir Pok

Actually u need totally avoid product with no service center in the country, i learn long time ago, in my case buying a car instead a phone. Much hassle much money spend.

  • the_black_dragon

Instead of factory reset you just can try to reset only affected apps :)

Go to Settings –> Apps –> PSN App and click on delete data
Then do the same with Sony Unlimited Account Manager… then try again if it does not work it is still server sided Problem

  • Charles dela Cruz

Luckily Sony won’t listen to you. Stagnating on the same old shit is terrible.

  • Guest

    Keyword “Select”

  • Jumbo

Sorry to burst your bubbles… BUY WHO CARES!

Go fuck a bubble or something…

  • Jumbo

Well said brother, well said… (thumbs up)

  • Exodite

It’s not about looks, though I personally dislike the visual style of material design, but rather function.

Material design uses more space, provides less information and relies on unintuitive design cues for interaction – for example the new navigation buttons.

    It’s simply very poor design.

As for stagnating that’s actually an upside in most ways when it comes to design, staying consistent is one of the cornerstones of good design.

  • Jim

As long as they keep including the theme function, I don’t see why it matters..

  • Kabuto Kouji

2 posibilities 1.If this issue is due to the lost of the DRM keys when unloked bootloader, well im pretty much fuc{{t up! the strage thing is that i dont really seem to find much info about this error on google!! 2.Just hope 4.4.4 will fix this issue on my Z2. =(

  • Boneto

Keywords “Coming Early 2015” They are not stupid to give all xperia Z series at one shot early 2015. :)

  • Hope It Happens.

    Keyword “Patience”

  • piotr, disappointed

Sony, Can we expect that scrolling contacts will work fulid one day? My xperia with 4x 1,5GHz cores and 4.4 kitkat cannot handle this tricky task.
Maybe scrolling should be converted to mp4 movie and played back to reach the 25fps

  • ff

They are not getting it december you idiot,
The leaked Roadmap states January 2015.

    Go use Google and stfu.

  • Kamran Mackey

Well, they better bring the Android Lollipop update to the Xperia M2 as well, or I am not gonna be a very happy camper.

  • Cris de Oliveira

all 2014 devices, it will let us happy x)

  • Pramit

Exodite, you have every right to dislike material design. They weren’t kidding when they said it’s a major ui overhaul. That’s the beauty of android. You always skip the update. Though you fall short on future software support since it’ll be for lollipop 5.x and not kitkat 4.x

Don’t be swayed by people’s opinions. Android is open-source. That means the user decides what he/she wants if they know how.

As for stagnating, sony has always stuck to a minimalistic stock-ish ui that I’ve come to love personally. I’m also excited to see what they do to it with lollipop.
