singtel-starhub_0The Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact have seen a new firmware update roll, although only to Singapore operators Singtel and Starhub. Firmware build number 23.0.1.A.1.43 is currently rolling to the D6653 variant of the Xperia Z3 and D5833 variant of the Xperia Z3 Compact.

The last update for both handsets was 23.0.A.2.93, although it is unclear if there are any tangible changes in this new build. If anyone from Singapore has downloaded the update, do let us know your impressions below.

The 1st noticeable difference is that there is the VO))LTE symbol now instead of the LTE above the signal bars

Only SGP-M1 use Generic firmware so far so Good!!!!!

Completely Agree. I flashed the latest one based on SingTel / Starhub and found it less stable. I had a few force closes in some apps. The generic one works better. Just hold out for Lollipop.

The remove apps cross is now located on top of the screen as opposed to the bottom previously. The Google search bar on top can now be hidden/show easily

Same case as my previous Xperia the SP with Singtel branded firmware there we’re lags everywhere and I end up using Generic SG firmware..
