Xperia E4g_3Believe it or not, the Sony Xperia E4g is Sony’s first 64-bit phone. Sony says that the Xperia E4g is armed with the MediaTek MT6732 chipset, which was announced a year ago at MWC. At the time, MediaTek said that the 64-bit LTE SoC would “spur the new super-mid market”. The chipset consists of a 1.5GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor system and Mali-T760 graphics.

Despite sporting a 64-bit processor, the Xperia E4g will be running a 32-bit version of Android. It will be interesting to see what noticeable benefits this chipset will bring over the MT6582 chipset (1.3GHz quad-core) found in the Xperia E4.

Thanks Sanjaya!

I’m not a fan of the new display that is build into the E4g/E4. The E3 looks much more vivid.

seems E4g is also having a bad washed out display despite IPS panel. or later they will embed a decent screen. E4g already having the upper hand against new Moto E by having flasher , 2MP and 1080p video recording. if sony didn’t update this to Lollipop and not marketed it well, they will in trouble. i see lot of people talking about E4g .video by Sony developer page shows a few minutes hands on

It is better than moto E, in my opinion… Now all depends on Sony’s marketing team…!!!

I’ve been reading that they are in a plan to sell off their mobile division due to fierce competition and are going to concentrate on above mid-range tier..and then next phone from E Series gets launched -_- . I dont get sony at times -_- . every E series phone is crap.

64bit will bring no noticeable differences. Stop being “apple” ignorant. It’s only good for addressing more memory.

  • those are press pictures… and in press pictures, whatever the manufacturer is, the screen is never real, it’s just a picture attached with photoshop… how can you say it’s not vivid?

there actually are many improvements from 32 to 64bits… but yea 1st they wont be noticeable, and 2nd Android apps will still work as 32bits until they release 64bits optimized (if they do it anytime which I’m not sure at least for 2015-2016)

In another post from Xperia Blog a Swedish guy compare the two devices (Youtube)

  • Saw it… I have to admit that the colors on the E4 are terrible.

this phone is a useless piece of junk. thanks sony for wasting my time and money.
first one usb port stopped working after 2 months and touch screen was super dodgey and inaccurate, struggled to type anything. 2nd one having more severe screen issues after 4 months, can’t type a single word without accuracy errors
