    what ‘s its android version?

  • Reza

It’s just released in Indonesia as well roughly IDR 1,999,000 or equivalent USD 155.

  • Amel_Marie

    Probably kit kat

  • Rohit Patil

Who in India will buy a case worth INR 1,990. And those who do will never buy an entry level phone. It would have been smarter from Sony’s point to launch this phone for 10,000 in festival season (Gudhi Padawa) itself.

  • jumbo3220

Official Sony India launched it for 12,190 Rupees which is 194$, and initial public reaction was GO HOME SONY ! can’t understand why it’s so expensive. it’s competitors like Xiaomi redmi 2, New Moto E is way cheaper than this. and European countries with higher TAX rates sell it for around 130$, No one will buy this if didn’t reduce the price, And they cry saying sales not good.

  • Reza

    It’s kitkat 4.4.4

  • Reza

Why it is more expensive in India than Indonesia, is it tax or what? Here in my country this e4 price is quite make sense and it’s equal with e3 dual sim.

  • xperiaDROID

Here in Malaysia they’re selling it for RM 459 which is about $125. Before it was launched here, I thought they’re gonna sell it for more than that price, but I’m happy to see that they’re selling it way cheaper than I expected even though it’s a bit more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi 2.

There is one big reason to buy this E4 over it’s competitors, and that is the “2 days battery life” which it’s competitors can’t offer.

i have no idea mate. it’s typical sony india, always higher price when launch and reducing the price after few weeks. as you can see in this post, that seller’s price is 11,600 ,it’r reduced. after few weeks it will be less than 9000 hopefully

  • Kaarthikeyan Swaminathan

The recent tax ammendments have a strong influence in the pricing. It can go higher post april when additional service tax will be levied

  • Lovelesh Khatter

What’s about release of xperia m4 aqua in india

  • Timel

Very ugly And No one will buy this shit

  • Badr

  • Messup7592

You wrote this comment with you xperia keyboard, right ?

  • Kevin

Hello Badr this isn’t an official Sony forum where people from Sony will give you answers

  • bzhzhJjsbzbz

if less than 200$ is much to you then you’re really poor LOL

  • jumbo3220

lol, it’s a matter of max permitted price man.. coz i know people wont buy this with that price tag, and sony will lose the market share. i’m waiting for the E4g model to replace my Xperia L.

  • Snorky112

it may be slower, but just look how good it looks compared to others? also: I can’t find any bug, unlike others

  • Snorky112

    also competitors have retarded designers

  • Ravi _111

    Yes

  • Ravi _111

    I use already xperia z3 I know what’s sony

  • Ethan ‘blaze’ Parker

Its typical India. Blame the government you voted for for all these taxes.

  • Prateek Bhanushali

Don’t blame our Govt. lame…… Take care of urs !!!!

  • shubham

the import tax got increased from 6% to 12.5%! that’s why it is highly priced! the govt wanted companies to make products here.. so they made this increase! you can blame the govt and sony as well!

  • Prateek Bhanushali

Taxes are for the govt. Do check at what rate India is growing aftr this Government !!!
And…… Are we the loyal tax payers ??? Govt has to do something to get working, we cant blame them for that………

  • shubham

pal, it’s just that they increased the import taxes! so that will naturally affect prices! apple did the price hike in india.. few days back! others will follow with price hike soon! sure.. it’s good for us.. but there is no denying that govt is responsible! and sony too is responsible for higher price compared to competition!

  • raju

    It’s upgradeable to lollipop

  • Prateek Bhanushali

Yess I do accept that but the way that person is blaming India and its voters ??? He needed that reply….

  • [S]unjay

Samsung, LG, HTC, Google Nexus and Motorola all released buggy Lollipop updates. Lollipop was rushed. Your Z3 may have gotten a late update but it’s nearly bugless. Who laughs lasts the best.

  • Ana Heluši?

    Talking about your mom again

  • Ethan ‘blaze’ Parker

I live in India, we have the same government. -_-

  • Ethan ‘blaze’ Parker

“Needed that reply” I’m telling from first hand experience, I don’t see a reason why I shouldn’t do that.

I purchased a White PS4 from US last year Christmas for 24k, imported it here 10k customs, 8k shipping. Now check PS India page, so many indians crying about prices. Tell me how is it Sony’s fault when shipping costs and taxes are so high in this country? -_-

Second incident, purchased a fossil watch last month for 10k, 3.2k shipping, 4.5k customs fee. Still feel like defending the government?

  • nino11

The Sony Xperia smartphones are popular in many markets, the Xperia E4 Dual has a strong point, a autonomy of two days because of modes Stamina battery and Ultra endurance.
