    Hope M2 gets it… :(

  • Fsiols

Is anyone on z or z1 or z1c with t-mobile recive the lollipop?

  • Xyor

Z1s has already gotten updated last week, I doubt they will update Z

  • Anton Ellis

I had no control on this update because it was on auto-update. Lost all settings, SMS and MMS I had on my phone. Everything is gone. :-(

  • RbbrDcky

Group messaging is now available for the stock messaging app!

  • julio

I did the update, also did a full this system restore. everything is running every. only complaint is the stock messaging app. Works a hundred times better than before, but it doesn’t take advantage of the heads up notification and is still missing the option to archive.

Ok damn, what about Verizon love, I swear Sony stay fucking up in the USA, on hot things we get over here is the damn Playstation! So sad

  • Feddy

The presence of Lollipop binaries for the M2 on Sony Developer site gives me little hope ^_^

  • Augustine Kau

  • Augustine Kau

  • Augustine Kau

  • Moe

can i install international rom on tmobile version? i know most carriers phones that you can

  • Juan Paulino

Now where’s the update for the xperia z3v?

  • Robin

Lollipop sucks on my Xperia ZR.App to SD card didn’t work so well.Big games like asphalt 8 is not moving to sd card at all. Also new ART eats more memory.

  • illstplaya .

As far as I know the Xperia Z was not eligible for the update on T mobile. Only the z1s and z3 will be updated on T mobile.

  • Kaarthikeyan Swaminathan

Thats is not android prob, call your Asphalt team to change their app

  • Im Mattz

Hey, I just got my Lollipop Update today and I’m currently installing it but its so amazing, I have been waiting since December for my Sony Xperia Z3 to receive it! Thank You XperiaBlog for the news updates!

  • Sarger

Nah, I am still waiting for the update. Z1C

  • Xyor

Nope, totally different model. If you force flash it. It will break

  • Robin

Maybe you are right. But also Android Run Time(ART)eats more space for its apps.I really need to root my phone. Thanks anyway.

  • Rajesh Kumar

Thanks for posting this update. It is indeed helpful.
    Cheers!! recording app

  • Feddy

    Told ya http://www.xperiablog.net/2015/06/04/official-android-5-1-landing-from-july-says-sony-includes-xperia-m2-series/
I always thought there’s no point to release L binaries for a model you won’t officially update and here I was right!

  • Kaarthikeyan Swaminathan

Agreed on the space of apps. Feels like an apple phone where all the apps are super bloated. But we need to love with it as long as Google changes it

  • jonyah

It’s not sony’s fault, it’s the provider. they have had the update for a long time but it’s up to them to modify it as they want before releasing it. you can’t blame sony for this.

  • JHMBB2

Woo, loving it so far. =)

  • Moe

thank you, i thought the only thing different was the memory 32gb vs 16gb.

  • Steven Lopez

My battery life fucking sucks now….awesome

  • Robin

You didn’t do anything wrong. The main problem is with apps. All the apps are not yet optimized for sd card.So therefore all the app data cannot be move to sd card by default. You need to root your device to move all apps data to sd card(if possible) or you need to partition your sd card.

  • kanakamaoli

Lollipop for the T-Mobile Z3 doesn’t come with the xloud option. The speaker volume is really soft compared to when my z3 was running on kitkat. T-Mobile or Sony please bring it back!
