  • How about that Android 5.1 update to fix that memory leak. I’m sick and tired of my phone getting hotter than an oven and quitting every app left and right.

  • Abhi

Mine is very stable, I was sure Sony has fixed the memory leaks in 5.0.2 itself according to some XDA devs a while back.

Only issue I see sometimes is that Mobile Radio Active bug that drains like crazy sometimes, sadly Google only last week assigned a dev to fix the issue on Lollipop. By the time it’s patched and we get it on the D6616, Marshmallow will be out…………….

I think this update is rolling right now for Z3 in Italy. Downloading right now.

Few days … Be patient ;)

  • Doubleyoupee

Why didn’t they just combine this with 5.1.1 release…….

  • MurF-A-Zoid

T-Mobile better update the Sony Z1s. Why give us Lollipop and not even update us to 5.1.1. Unless your going to surprise us with Android 6.0 Marshmallow babe. I mean you already forgot my partner T-Mobile Sony Z. I hope there more people on cyberspace who agree with me here.

Ehh :( this is true, Sony is a lazy … Maybe this week, only Z, Z, Z, Z … :( certification it was 12 days ago, im very angry :(

  • tzortziskon

5.1.1 update for Xperia C3 Certified 28/8 and released 11/9 (14 days after)
    Don’t forget that

  • FerN

    So maybe 30/9 for M2

From my understanding that got fix in the last update. I have T-Mobile Sony Z1s Android 5.0.2 and it should of gotten fix. Sony always take a little more time on releasing and update. Just to make sure all the smaller bug issues are fix. Maybe not all of them are fix, but at least they are trying to fix everything that Google funk up on in the last Android release.

  • tzortziskon

    Maybe ..

One question, people. My Z3 (D6653) just updated to 23.4.A.1.200 yesterday but there are newer versions, so… Is it safe to update using flashtool? And besides, which firmware version or region should I choose?

Damn right T-Mobile!!!! Give us the 5.1.1 or Android 6.0 Marshmallow babe!!!! All Sony Z1s lovers come out and tell T-Mobile to get with the program… We must tell them from all over cyber space…

  • Sarger

Z1C.. I received the update yesterday. Great update, super battery life so far. Gj

sigh, just finally decided to update from kitkat to 5.0.2, then to this ota, annnnd getting massive battery drain again. tried app ops through xposed and the usual “fixes,” all to no avail. google play music giving me an “unknown play services error.” they need to fix this shit..

  • Dante Sparda

Yeah we want lollipop 5.1.1 update for t mobile z1s. We suffer battery drain and overheating.

  • John Doe

Better yet, give us 6.0.1. All the other Z3s have it but not ours. This reminds me of the way Verizon is said to be slow releasing updates. We need to petition them to show them how many of us want it. When they see how many customers they have tired of never getting updates, maybe they will realize that unless they do something to keep us they will lose us after our contracts expire. We need to show them a very large number of unhappy customers who might go to their competitors. We need to show them that we are not bluffing and come in wanting to cancel our contracts UNLESS they can help us. When a large crowd demands something that can become difficult to ignore, especially when they are free to take their business elsewhere.
