I am using Z5 Dual (E6683) with Firmware 32.2.A.0.253 and I have both SIM slots Occupied as SIM 1: Vodafone IN SIM 2: Airtel. I always keep SIM 2: Airtel Disabled using Dual SIM Setting.

I wish to know if there is Battery Consumption in any way by SIM 2 even if it’s in Disabled Mode ….??
Can I Reduce Battery Consumption by Keeping SIM 2 Slot Vaccant instead of Keeping it Occupied but Disabled…??

  • iia3ezu

And it does not even have a Snapdragon 820.

Let’s see which chumps buy the Xperia X Compact at that price.

  • Humming Mob

    should be MH 750

  • Nafnaf84

If there was the Snapdragon 820 inside they would probably sell it for 600€ (like the Z5 Compact last year)
I’m not saying that this X Compact is well priced but it is the cheapest Xperia Compact at launch…

  • Ailan Hidaz

Depends on the region – it seems to either be the mh70 for most, but I have also heard of the more basic headphones being included (and in some cases, none!)

  • Ailan Hidaz

I cannot understand what your question is but I am assuming you are asking if dual sim usage is causing the extra loss of battery life – yes as long as two sims are installed the phone will keep the two antennas live, which consumes extra battery. I have had dual sim Xperias since they first launched dual sim phones and I can honestly say the battery life is better when a single sim is installed.

  • Musharab

Thanks…..I have two SIM installed but one is always Kept Disabled. Does it still consumes Battery ??

  • Humming Mob

Mh 70!!? You mean Mh 750

Why the mh750? My Z3c had these 2 years ago. They should upgrade the model or at least give a 50 euro discount on the new headphones.

  • Talos the Robot

I don’t give 450 euros on a plastic upper midrange phone with no waterproofing, no flagship chipset and no 4K video recording. I prefer to buy a Sony camera this time and I will be fine with my Z3c for another year.

  • raju

    Tq, hope release in India

  • raju

  • Musharab

Thanks….But I Doubt. I will TRY a Test And Discuss the Result

  • Humming Mob

what’s the issue with MH 750? Its a good earphone.

  • David Hvatov

That’s smart. Z3c is still good.

  • smartuser8

Up if you still have your loved Z3C and still waiting the Z6C XD

  • Kadek

XZ 1080p score 72H endurance from GSMA, Meanwhile XCompact 720p score 73H, SD650 doesnt really efficient.
And some review say camera quality are better on XZ, maybe because different procecessing step since it uses different soc.
If only XCompact use SD820 and waterproof. It will be instabuy for me.

  • Stergios Papoutsoglou

It’s probably the only compact with lower specs so it’s expected to be cheaper, though I still find no reason to buy any of the new Xperias (maybe the xz)

  • Nafnaf84

    I’m interested in this X Compact…
Having an Xperia M2 I really want a Compact and I’m not really into flagships (costly and I don’t particularly need the best performances)
Unfortunately there isn’t much choices (this one or the Galaxy A3 2016)
XZ looks good, especially the forest blue :)

  • Stergios Papoutsoglou

OK I can see your point but what I mean is right now in my country (Greece) the z5 compact is priced at about 340 euros, so for less money you can buy a better phone albeit a bit older, than almost all the phones in the Xperia x line,

  • BoreskiLebanon

I quit…my 9/5 job to work online and now I make $75-95 per hr. My work didn’t bring me enough satisfaction so I decided to take a chance on something new… I’ve found this, the simplest and easiest way of making bucks and now I couldn’t be happier. This is what I do

  • Khillo81

They pay that much for prostitutes?

  • Nafnaf84

In France they are at the same price…
In different tests, I read that the X Compact is not very much an improvement over the Z5 Compact but a little more speedy (probably 3 Go of Ram against 2 Go in the Z5C) and the camera is a bit better…
I don’t particularly need waterproof (only when I take a few pictures when it’s raining but it’s pretty occasional and I’ve never had problems with my M2 getting a few drops of water)

  • Howard Sternberg

Still not worth to upgrade from Z1 Compact.

Now i’m considering Z3C since it has proven better battery life over Z1C and costs 280€ brand new or 160€ used good condition.

Also the magnetic charging is awesome for car setup where it acts as GPS unit /easy on-off charging.

  • Stergios Papoutsoglou

Since they are the same price and you have no interest in water resistance I can tell nothing more. If you ever buy it I would like to see your comments on the phone :)

  • Nafnaf84

I have to admit that I was a bit uncertain firstly between the Z5C or the XC but the XC is more recent and less overheating (from what I heard)
I’m starting to see feedbacks about this XC from people who have ZC (Z1C and even Z5C) and they seem to be happy with it (faster and a better / quicker camera)
I’m not sure to be very fair (having an Xperia M2, I’m sure it’ll be much better) but I’ll do :)

  • Eduardo Otero

Remember it is X Compact not XZ Compact…

  • BoreskiLebanon

Um.. fella, either you don’t know what they are or how they work. As for me, I’ve never seen a prostitute online lol.. only on the street. And this is btw a good way for them to get off from it as well… Well… if they want of course. Nauf said :P

  • When I saw a paycheck of $9394, I started believing that my bff was truly making ca$$ in spare time with her Xperia tablet. I started myself and now making around $350 – $550 every day for just few hours of work on my computer, from my living room. And I can tell you guys, it’s awesome!=sdf465::

  • The One

Magnetic charging was completely under-rated and never got the credit it deserved for making the Z1-Z3 series a stand-out device. It’s a shame Sony got rid of this feature with the Z5

  • Ailan Hidaz

Oops my bad, you are right lol

  • Bradley

Does anyone know if there are good screen protectors or third party bumpers for the compact yet? I can’t find anything!
