If the telcos in America don’t carry the phone, it doesn’t matter what happens on Amazon.

Except for a few hardcore fanboys, no one is going to get such an expensive phone without a telco subsidy.

Before thinking of buying the Sony Xperia XZ Premium in the US, do note that the phone only works on GSM/LTE carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile, so it can’t be used on Verizon, Sprint, or US Cellular.

Best of luck to them on this launch!
It’s a little pricy for me, (and a few others probably) plus I just hot my Z5 not long ago.
But it’s good to see more Sony phones in the US. Love if they pushed the Xperia tablets more as well…

only cuz of smaller form factor. otherwise this phone is beast.

my best friend’s step-mother makes $85 hourly on the computer . She has been fired from work for nine months but last month her pay check was $17089 just working on the computer for a few hours. see it here ++++++++++

  • Sorry ehehe here in Portugal we had in pre-sale, but then the ad was replaced by the cut in the price of XZ

Does anybody know when a Flashtool update will be released so we can flash a different Rom on the XZ Premium to enable the fingerprint sensor. I tried flashing mine but the flashtool doesn’t recognize the phone.

If recent history is anything to go by, this phone will be sold at a discount in a month or three. Regardless, the price of the Xperia XZ Premium is comparable to an iPhone 7+ or Galaxy S8+, so I’d say that it’s a fair, albeit high, price for a just released high end, big screen phone.

As for tablets, it looks like Sony has given up on them. Can’t blame ’em with increasingly larger phones and laptop/tablet hybrids hurting traditional tablet sales.

Mine was delivered today. Haven’t picked it up yet, so I’m hoping that all is well.

It might be comparable, but so is the competition. Sony is in no place to demand premium pricing. Hasn’t been for a while.
