[IMG]If you are own a Sony Ericsson Xperia arc or Xperia PLAY and still have a locked bootloader, then there is now a method for you to get rooted even if you’re running the latest Android 2.3.3 update.
The method involves flashing to the older ‘184’ software (Android 2.3.2), rooting via Gingerbreak or SuperOneClick and then updating the handset OTA to get the latest Android 2.3.3 update. Surprisingly, root remains once you complete the update. This method will only work if you have not modified/deleted any system files.
