Xperia PLAYSony Ericsson UK is planning its biggest marketing campaign for over two years when the new Xperia arc, Xperia PLAY and Xperia Neo launch next week. SE plans to spend £4m overall, the bulk of which will be used to focus on the Xperia PLAY.

The adverts will run across all mediums including online, TV, press and outdoor. It will also see a cover-wrap for the London edition of the free Metro newspaper that will point people towards an Xperia PLAY themed showroom in London’s West End. If you’re wondering around London, you may also come across some branded rickshaws.

The company plans to increase its digital marketing spend from 25% to 40% of the total campaign spend. This includes ads on the home pages of Facebook, YouTube and Gamespot on 31 March. Looks like Sony Ericsson aren’t taking any chances with the new Xperia launch. All three phones launch next week.
