Sony Ericsson has announced the WT18i Walkman handset for the Chinese market. This model will be available shortly on China Mobile and will run the OPhone 2.5 operating system, which is basically China’s equivalent of Android 2.2 (Froyo) and is fully compatible with all Android apps.
The handset will be armed with an 806MHz Marvell PXA920 CPU, 150MB of internal memory, a 3.2-inch (320 x 480) display and a 3MP camera (with 480p video recording). Other features include Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM Tuner and a 1200mAh battery. The handset will weigh 110g and will be 14.3mm thickness (106.0mm × 56.5mm × 14.3mm). This news follows the W8 Walkman announcement, let’s hope SE also has a high-end Walkman in its pipeline too.
