The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo was due to launch at the same time as the Xperia arc and Xperia PLAY at the end of March. However, a number of supply issues stemming from the tragic Japanese earthquake/tsunami meant that the Xperia Neo’s launch was delayed. It did launch in a few selected markets including Hong Kong but remained absent everywhere else.
However, it now looks as if the Xperia Neo will be hitting European markets in the first week July. This has been confirmed by Sony Ericsson Italy as well as SE Netherlands. Our UK channel checks also confirm that the handset may arrive as early as next week. Sharing many of the same features as the Xperia arc at a better price point, we always felt that SE could be onto a winner with the Xperia Neo. However, given the 10-week delay, we wonder whether it will have the same impact as it would have done previously. What are your thoughts? How well do you think the Xperia Neo will fare?
