Billabong Xperia active shows up in New Zealand

In what is perhaps the perfect brand to go with the rugged Xperia active, Sony Ericsson has announced that it has teamed up with Billabong for its New Zealand launch. The Xperia active will be available exclusively to Telecom New Zealand with prices starting at NZ$399.

New Zealanders will get some extras not seen elsewhere though, with two branded Billabong back covers (one black and one blue). As a reminder, the Xperia active is water resistant (it can be kept under 1 metre of water for 30 minutes) and has wet finger tracking so that the 3-inch display can be used whilst wet. Other features include a 1GHz processor, 5MP camera, 1200mAh battery and the Reality display with Bravia Engine. The Billabong covers look pretty cool, see some larger images below.
