Xperia S camera shootout roundup

The Sony Xperia S is one of the very few smartphones on the market with a 12MP camera sensor. We have already seen a number of camera comparisons with other handsets, but there were a few that we didn’t get the time to post first time round. They are still worth a read if you’re really interested in the imaging side of the Xperia S, so we thought we’d post the links for you to have a read this Easter Sunday.

First up we have, AllAboutSymbian’s shootout with the Xperia S versus the Nokia N8. The Nokia N8 is still one of the best camera phones on the market with one of the largest image sensors, so we can’t begrudge the N8 victory. We’ll be comparing the imaging between these two handsets soon so watch this space. Cnet compared the iPhone 4S against the Xperia S and declared the former to be the winner “in almost all situations”. GSM Arena compared both camera and video in a Galaxy S II shootout, whilst Recombu has a massive 5-way shootout including the HTC One X. One thing we can conclude is that camera phones have come a long way in the last few years and for casual use any of the phones mentioned would do a great job.
