There are a couple of new Android Gingerbread builds rolling out to Sony Xperia S handsets. Some people are getting updates to firmware version 6.0.A.3.75, whilst others have 6.0.A.3.76. Both firmware builds do not appear to be certified by PTCRB which is strange and could suggest they are not global rollouts.
From what we can tell the software brings some increased sensitivity with the front capacitive buttons over the existing firmware (6.0.A.3.73 ) along with other bug fixes. In terms of how the v75 firmware differs from v76, we have no idea – but for all intents and purposes there seems to be little difference between the two. If you want to try the firmware for yourself, you can download the pre-rooted FTF files here.
