Sony Mobile quietly released some new software just before Christmas that allows Apple iPhone owners easily move content to a new Sony Xperia handset. “Xperia Transfer” is not a dedicated piece of software but can be found within PC Companion or Sony Bridge for Mac.
The process to transfer data looks quite straight forward and is illustrated in the video below. As things stand, the software will only work on Sony Mobile’s latest handsets: the Xperia T (LT30p), Xperia TL (LT30at), Xperia TX (LT29i) Xperia V (LT25i) and Xperia VC (LT25c). It’s great to see Sony’s confidence in catering for iOS users wanting to switch to a Sony Xperia smartphone.
