The Sony Xperia Z1 is already available in the United States, albeit only the HSPA+ model (C6902) and only unlocked. We have reported on rumours that the Xperia Z1 will be picked up by T-Mobile in the US at some point and this latest leak reinforces that.
The Xperia Z1 for T-Mobile USA has been spotted at the Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group), with model number C6916. The last two digits ‘16’ in the model number denotes T-Mobile, corresponding with the T-Mobile Xperia Z (C6616). A release date remains a mystery for now, but it is looking increasingly likely that T-Mobile will announce the Xperia Z1 in the not too distant future.
